The next morning I woke up happy and it was a feeling that I really wanted to get used to. I quickly got out of bed and ran to my bathroom. I took a shower and then did my hair.

I put it in a bun and put on a nike headband. I grabbed black joggers and a white nike shirt out of my closet, then my Concords. I put them on and looked in the mirror.

I decided that I looked alright and I grabbed the Rolex off of my dresser before grabbing my backpack and making my way downstairs. When I got to the bottom I realized my mom was there and that she was making breakfast.

I furrowed my eyebrows, confused, "Mom?"

She turned around with a smile on her face, "Y/n! You're up! I didn't know what time you'd be up, so I just started cooking." she said with a smile.

"I've gotten up at the same time every morning since my freshman year. You would know that if you were ever here." I said smiling back at her.

Her smile faltered for a second but she quickly recovered, "Well, the food will be done soon and we need to talk."

I nodded and sat at the table. She put my food on a plate a few minutes later and brought it over to me, then sat down.

"Y/n?" she said.

"What?" I said, a bit more harsh than I intended it to be. She flinched but kept talking.

"I'm leaving." she said finally.

"You always do. I didn't expect you to stay." I said quietly, stabbing the food on my plate.

"No. I mean I'm leaving. For good. I'm not coming back." she told me and I put my fork down. I quickly got up from my seat.

"Good." I said before walking out the door and slamming it behind me.

I got in my Lamborghini and sat looking out of the window before starting it. I pulled out the garage and then down the driveway. I drove to the end of the street before pulling over to the side of the road. I punched the steering wheel and cursed.

"I don't fucking need her." I told myself through gritted teeth. I sat staring straight ahead with my hands gripping the steering wheel so tightly, my knuckles were white.

Closing my eyes, I took a few deep breaths before putting my car in drive and driving to school. I got to school early, so I sat in my math class for about half an hour until it started.

The bell had rung and Mr Young was trying to hurry and close the door but was ultimately failing miserably. A tall and tan girl appeared on the other side of the door and started to push the door open. I pulled out my phone and began to videotape it.

The girl and Mr Young were pushing against the door on opposite sides. I sat in the back laughing my ass off.

"Push him on his ass!" I yelled out laughing.

Finally with one big push, she threw the door open and Mr Young fell on his butt. I laughed loudly and doubled over.

"Hoi. Should've just opened the damn door." she said as she walked towards me to the back of the class followed by a brown skin girl with curly black hair. "Hey, are these seats taken?" she asked pointing to the seats on each side of me.

I shook my head, "Nope!" I said. They sat down and propped their feet up as well.

"I pushed him on his ass for you." she whispered to me chuckling. I laughed loudly thinking about him falling.

"That was so priceless! I'm y/n, by the way." I told her.

"I'm Dinah and that's Normani." she said pointing to the other girl.

Normani smiled at me, "Hey, girl!"

"Hey!" I said with a smile of my own. We continued talking and laughing for the rest of the class.

"Hey, let's exchange numbers!" I said as the bell rang. We give each other our numbers and parted ways.

I walked to Camila's class quickly, relieved to get some quiet time where I could think. But I was nervous about how Camila would act after the kiss. I was 98% sure she would try to act all formal and teacher-y and I was okay with that....for now.

I walked into class to find Camila sitting at her desk with her glasses on, she was reading a book and seemed to be in a completely different world.

"Whatcha reading?" I asked sneaking up to her quietly. She jumped and quickly closed the book.

"N-nothing." she said but I glanced at the cover before she could put it away.

"Fifty Shades of Grey?!" I asked laughing. "Damn, Cami! I didn't know you were a freak." I said smirking and winking at her.

She blushed, "Take a seat, y/n."

I did as she said and she got up from behind her desk. She had on a pink collard shirt and a black and white checkered pencil skirt.

"You've got a thing for pencil skirts, huh?" I teased.

"You would be surprised at how many I have. Twenty five percent of my closet is made up of pencil skirts." she said laughing.

"I don't doubt it! You're sure a dork." I teased.

"Hey! Take that back! I won't hesitate to walk out this class and never come back." she said smiling. I knew she was just joking, but I started thinking about it and next thing I knew, Camila had me wrapped in a hug and I was crying into her shirt.

"Shhh. It's going to be okay, babe." she said stroking my hair. I tried to stop myself from crying.

"Shit. I'm sorry, Cami. I didn't mean to break down like that." I said wiping my eyes and sniffling.

"No, you don't have to apologize. Did I say something wrong?" she asked in a concerned tone. I shook my head quickly.

"No...it's just...I really hope you stick around. Everyone leaves and I don't think I can handle you leaving. We've known each other for like four days and I already feel like-like you're a big part of me." I confessed. She looked at me and hugged me again.

"Don't worry, sweetheart. I won't leave you. No matter what." she said stroking my hair.

"I hope not." I said quietly. Eventually, she let me go from her hug but she sat on my desk.

"How about we have our lesson outside today? It's nice and warm and we can just walk and talk about English related things." she suggested and I agreed.

"Can we wait a bit though? My eyes are probably red from crying." I said.

"I've got the perfect solution! Ta da!" she exclaimed picking up sunglasses off her desk. She put them on me. "Now you just have to smile!" she said turning the corners of my mouth up with her fingers.

I sat there with a blank look on my face. She gave me a quick kiss on the lips and that's all I needed to have a big and goofy smile plastered on my face.

She giggled, "I knew that would work." she pulled me out the classroom door and then out the school doors. We walked to the track and talked about books that we've read and what we liked about them.

"As much as I love books, I love poetry more. Especially writing it." I told her after our third lap on the track.

"Really? What's your favorite poem?" she asked looking at me.

"I can't pick a favorite. I've read too many wonderful poems." I said.

"Well, I want to hear one you wrote. Do you remember any?" she asked.

I nodded my head and recited a little poem I hard written years ago.

"Tell me another." she said quietly.

I hesitated before taking a deep breath and speaking, "On the brink of falling between the cracks in he floorboards and reaching the sky. We are grasping at thin air and all are getting are handfuls of crumbling ceilings spotted with nail holes from the people who moved out of our bodies long ago. I saw something different in her, like the windows she placed all over herself were actually walls, and all the trees and skylines that lay outside were just her excess skin. She could light a match at the click of her teeth and pull you into the flames without you ever feeling that sense of losing control. That's the thing about houses made from skin and bones, they never seem to last long. Our very lungs trapped in walls and walls of insulation. She stocked up our cabinets with cooking grease, but houses don't quiver much like the lips and fingers of our past selves when fear seemed to dip it's toes into our very skin. Who knew our own bodies had boiling points?" I finished and it was quiet for a bit.

"That was amazing, y/n. What's that one called?" she asked softly.

"At least a body covered in ashes is a warm one." I said softly.

"Wow." she said barely above a whisper. "Y/n, I don't think you understand how smart and how creative and how all around wonderful you are, but I'm here to tell you that you are all of those things. Like, I can't even explain it! You're amazing!" she told me stopping to face me and holding my arms.

"Thank you." I said looking at my feet. I normally get really nervous when things get serious and personal, but with Camila, I felt like I could tell her anything.

"Back in the room, when I started crying like a little bitch, it wasn't your fault. It was mostly my fault and partly what I told you, but it wasn't your fault at all." I told her. She nodded.

"If you want to talk about it I'm here and more than willing to listen." she said bending down to make eye contact with me since I was looking at my feet. I lifted my head up to look her in the eyes.

"It's nothing that serious. I've been thinking about the past a lot since my mother told me she was leaving for good this morning." I said shrugging. "I'm almost 20 years old, I can live by myself now, but I just think about all those years where I missed having my mom around. I missed her going to my soccer games and helping me pick out dresses for dances, all that stuff. I used to wonder why I wasn't good enough for her to stay longer than a day and I tried to change myself to be 'perfect' but she still left. Eventually, I realized that it wasn't me or anything I could do. Then, I just started doing what I wanted, like going to bars at 16, being an asshole to people, basically just being how I am now." I confessed chuckling a little. "But I don't normally cry so you don't have to worry about me breaking down and becoming an emotional wreck again."

"It's okay, y/n. We cant go back in the past, so don't dwell on things you can't change. Look on the bright side of things. I'm a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. And if even one thing hadn't happened to you, we probably wouldn't be here right now." she said and I thought about it.

"If that's true, then I don't care what I had to go through to get here. It was worth it." I finally said. (a/n:aye)

She smiled at me, "Same here. We should probably go get our stuff. School's out in a few minutes."

We walked back to the room and the bell rang as she was opening the door. She didn't take the keys from around her neck so she bent over to unlock the door. I quickly looked to see if anyone was around and then grabbed her ass. She popped up quickly and turned around.

She hit me on my arm, "Ouch!" I said laughing.

"It's not funny!" she said smiling.

"I couldn't help it!" I said putting my hands up, "It was right there!"

She rolled her eyes and turned to unlock the door again, taking her keys off this time. She tried to hide it but I saw her smile and bite her bottom lip in the reflection of the door window. (a/n: aye again)

She opened the door and we both walked in to grab our stuff. I was bending down to grab my backpack when she slapped my ass.

"Now we're even." she said smirking.

I chuckled and shrugged, "Fair enough."

She was reaching for the door handle but I quickly spun her around and kissed her. I walked her back against the wall without breaking the kiss. Her tongue invaded my mouth and I squeezed her booty making her moan in response. The kiss quickly got even more heated and she slid her hands under my shirt.

Her hands moved up and down my sides making me shiver and giving me goosebumps. I pulled away from the kiss tugging on her bottom lip gently then I let go of it so I could move down to her neck. I sucked on her neck and she moaned. Then I scraped my teeth against it just hard enough to leave a hickey. I soothed it with my tongue and then continued to leave open mouth kissed on her neck.

Her leg wrapped around my waist and I moved to unbutton her shirt. She put her hands on my chest to stop me.

"We cant do this." she said. I backed away from her and sat on a desk, "At least not here." she added. My eyes widened with realization of what she just said.

"I've never done IT before." she said shyly.

I chuckled, "Me either." I confessed.

Her eyes shot up to mine and she smiled. I smiled back. I had been waiting for the right person to give myself to and there was no doubt in my mind that I had found her.
