Once Huang Dewei calmed himself down, he regretted his whole action and words. He regretted being nasty and harsh with him as well that he throw away the painting on the road without a care. Hence, in the middle of the night, he sneaked out and reached where the tea stall was while looking for the painting he throw. It was nowhere in sight. Huang Dewei was heart broken and felt guilty for his behaviour even more. He disappointed came back to the palace and stopped in front of Wang Lei's residence. Should he go and check on him? or should he give him more space?' Huang Dewei thought as he stood there in his thoughts for a while then he decided to walk inside his residence.
He stopped outside of his chamber door as he thought deep and hard. He was feeling nervous. He breathed in and out as he knocked on the door and entered inside. Wang Lei looked up towards him as he got up from his bed.
'Get out...you are not needed here.' Wang Lei straight out said as he stood up glaring at him.
'Then shall I go to your wife...she might still want me.' Huang Dewei blurred out as he laugh jokingly but Wang Lei felt angrier with his statement. Huang Deweu also regretted his word. It was his right situation to say these words at this moment.
'I told you to be careful with your words. You really know how to make me angry. 'Wang Lei asked and Huang Dewei felt stupid.
'I apologised. That was just a joke.' Huang Dewei said as he quickly apologised
'I am not in any mood of taking jokes from you. Do you want me to give you another punishment? Wang Lei said as he tried to scare him.
'What? No...I still have not recovered from the last one.' Huang Dewei replied quickly remembering his last punishment in bed as he shook away his head horrified.
'Then stay within your limit. I am still angry with you so don't talk to me.' Wang Lei said as he walked and stopped in front of the window. Huang Dewei sighed
'How long you will stay angry with me now, Wang Lei?' Huang Dewei asked and Wang Lei stayed silent not saying anything.
'How are you feeling? I know you are scared of rain.' Huang Dewei slowly asked as he stares at his back. He could tell he had built walls around him towards Huang Dewei, but this time Huang Dewei was not going to back off either.
'No interested in telling you anything like you care.' Wang Lei replied coldly and Huang Dewei sighed. He was already angry at him and on top Huang Dewei reacted like a jerk to him.
' Moon festival is coming, what gift are you going to give me?'Huang Dewei asked changing the topic
'Do you think you deserve a gift from me?' Wang Lei snapped asked in an emotionless tone and Huang Dewei felt helpless.
'Well I got a gift for you but I think I ruin it anyway. Is there anything you want from me? You can tell me.' Huang Dewei asked to continue the conversation.
'How about you getting out of my life?' Wang Lei said straightforwardly as he turned over towards him and looked dead in his eyes. Huang Dewei was taken back from his request. Huang Dewei was definitely hurt by his words this time but he compose himself quickly.
'That's never happening.' Huang Dewei responded in a strong confident tone while they both were looking at each other and then Wang Lei sighed as he leaned back his head on the window and closed his eyes.
'I wish I never had met you Huang Dewei.' Wang Lei said helplessly but his words indeed stabbed through Huang Dewei's heart like a knife. Huang Dewei thought he should leave him alone. He felt dejected as he turned over when his gaze fell on his side bed table and there was his painting...the painting of Wang Lei he bought today which he throw in the mud in anger. The painting was not in the best condition anymore since it was ruined due to all rain and mud. The painting had mud and water stains on it, but he still kept it and that too in his bedroom. Huang Dewei felt his heart warmed as he turned over and walked toward him as he stopped a few inches away from him.
'Saying the man who picked up the painting I tossed on the ground.' Huang Dewei softly said as Wang Lei's eyes flew open and then his gaze fell on the painting.
'Who cares? I suffocate you here anyway.' Wang Lei replied and now Huang Dewei understood why he was saying that he never had met him. He was not saying because Wang Lei wanted this but because of Huang Dewei words. Wang Lei felt like he was suffocating Huang Dewei here in the palace after hearing his words. The words Huang Dewei also regretting saying to him. Huang Dewei sighed then moved and got hold of his face in his hand as Wang Lei freezes in his place.
'All I came to say was that thank you for coming to me even though you are scared of rain and I apologised for being a jerk over your worries. I said too much which I did not even mean in my anger.' Huang Dewei said sincerely and truthfully. He genuinely looked sorry about his words. They both stared at each other then Huang Dewei bend down and kissed him on his forehead. Wang Lei felt his heart drop because nobody ever did this kind of soft affectionate gesture for him. It was intimate. Huang Dewei closed his eyes as he softly kissed him on his forehead and then slowly moved away.
Then without another word, he turned over and walked out. Wang Lei stood still as he felt a tingling sensation on his forehead. The feeling was his lips over his forehead filled inside with warmth...the warmth he kept wanting to feel, but he was gone. The thought came to Wang Lei's head and without realising his feet moved and run out of his room unknowingly with bare feet. He run as he tried to catch up with him who was walking out of his resident's door. Wang Lei rapidly run as he followed him out of his residence and called out to him.
'Weiwei...' Wang Lei's voice stopped Huang Dewei as he turned over and looked towards him when it started raining again.
'Don't leave.' Wang Lei begged as he looked desperate and Huang Dewei looked at his condition. His clothes were all wet while he was not wearing any shoe. The desperation in his eyes and voice made Huang Dewei felt special in a way he never felt before. Wang Lei slowly realised that it was raining and he quickly closed his eyes. The trauma was coming back to him but he opened his eyes and stood still while waiting for him. If he walked away right now he will lose the only person he can't live without. Huang Dewei understood it was getting hard for him to stand as he did not even waste a second anymore, he walked toward him and pulled him in his arms.
'Don't need to ask again. I got you.' Huang Dewei whispered as he hugged him and Wang Lei hugged him back tightly like his life depend on him. He suddenly felt safe in his arms when he felt Huang Dewei move and picked him up in bridal style. Wang Lei bewildered as he looked at him who had start walking back towards his residence.
'Put me down...you don't have to do that. I can walk by myself. It will be embarrassing if someone saw me like this.' Wang Lei screamed panicked as he looked around while Huang Dewei completely ignored him. They entered back inside his residence and walked toward his room. They entered back inside Wang Lei's room as Huang Dewei walked and slowly put him down on the bed.
'Have you lost your mind? Why would you pick me up? That is embarrassing and...' Wang Lei was saying without a break when Huang Dewei moved and put his lips on his. He kissed him as Wang Lei was taken back. Huang Dewei moved away and looked at him.
'You talk too much Wang Lei.' Huang Dewei said and Wang Lei just stares at him but said nothing. Huang Dewei smiled as he laid down then moved and put his head on Wang Lei's lap.
'What are you doing?' Wang Lei asked as he looked at surprise while Huang Dewei relaxed just closed his eyes.
'I am trying to rest.' Huang Dewei responded and Wang Lei stares at him then he moved and slowly started going through his hand through Huang Dewei's hair softly. Huang Dewei smile while they could hear the rain pouring from outside. The sound of rain was making the whole environment more peaceful.
'I think I should give you a nickname as well, Wang Lei.' Huang Dewei said breaking the silence as he opened his eyes and looked toward him
'Nickname for me?' Wang Lei asked dumbfounded over his new request.
'Yes, if you don't mind I can call someone else with an intimate nickname.' Huang Dewei said sarcastically and Wang Lei glared at him for a brief moment. The posessivness in his eyes for a few seconds made Huang Dewei smile. He somehow liked it when he gets possessive for him.
'I am an Emperor. Nicknames won't suit me.' Wang Lei replied getting little soften in his tone.
'Well nickname only for me. I will only call you in private.' Huang Dewei said as he asked for the permission
'Okay, what do you want to call me then?' Wang Lei said as he asked and Huang Dewei smiled as he jumped on his place and sat on his lap. He put his arms around his neck as he thought hard while Wang Lei's arms were around his waist.
'How about Lei?' Huang Dewei said and Wang Lei stares at him as that name reminded him of Lin Han. He used to call him this.
'No.' Wang Lei straightout denied it.
'Why? I like it.' Huang Dewei as he argues back while pouting like a child.
'It reminds me of someone I do not want to be reminded of.' Wang Lei said truthfully and Huang Dewei did not take long to figure out since there was only one person whose topic affect Wang Lei.
'Are you talking about your dead ex-lover?'Huang Dewei asked boldly
'Yes and move on from this topic now please.' Wang Lei replied simply
'Well, then I want to call you even more with this name. I want to get rid of him now. Replace him with me.' Huang Dewei suggested little annoyed and frustrated
'You are not his replacement for me Weiwei. You have your own place in my life. He had his own. Can't you just respect my past just the way I am doing with yours?' Wang Lei replied gently as they both were sitting looking at each other.
'Okay then LeiLei...just the way you call me Weiwei.' Huang Dewei said and Wang Lei thought for while as he nodded his head
'Sure, but I like it when you call me Wang Lei anyway...you know that is a nickname since nobody is allowed to call me this either unless I gave them permission. You throw around my name as you own it.' Wang Lei approved and Huang Dewei started smiling happily.
'Well, you never stop me from calling Wang Lei. I think you like it too. Then It is decided that I will keep calling you LeiLei. Is that fine?' Huang Dewei asked and Wang Lei nodded his head.
'But You know together in a short form, we could be LeiWei.' Huang Dewei said joyfully and he liked the sound of their names together and Wang Lei could not help and laugh. He finds him adorable . As soon as Huang Dewei heard his laugh, he stopped. Wang Lei was laughing and all he could do was stares at him. He felt he was dreaming...Wang Lei never laugh like this ever in front of anyone.
'Oh my god, you are so beautiful when you laugh.' Huang Dewei confessed as he was looking at him and Wang Lei suddenly stopped laughing upon hearing his words. He turned red with embarrassment because he had never laughed like this. Emperors are trained to never laugh in public like this and Wang Lei never had a reason to laugh like this either. After losing his mother and Lin Han he lost all his happiness.

'Yes, you need rest.' Wang Lei said as he knew how tired Huang Dewei was from last night and he needed rest.
'Awww how caring my LeiLei.' Huang Dewei said upon realising his care and Wang Lei was pleasantly amazed over him calling him from his nickname and adding my next to it too.
'You can be so bizarre sometimes Huang Dewei.' Wang Lei said as he turned over away looking at him. His whole face and neck turned red because of shyness. Nobody ever call him by nickname after Lin Han died, it was a nice change but he was not used to it. Huang Dewei also saw his face and neck turn red as he could not help and smile over his shyness. He moved and hugged him from the back.
'Goodnight, my LeiLei.' Huang Dewei whispered as he kissed his neck and closed his eyes as Wang Lei said nothing but could not help and a huge smile spread across his face.
