Statehouse Oneshots

Another day another meeting and Texas and Cali were, yet again, arguing

"You know if we all had just worn the masks and stayed inside this would have all blown over by now."

Texas was clearly tired and done™ with this argument.

So, with a very exasperated tone, he once again said

"Shut up California!"

He thought California would sulk and walk away. Or make some sort of offended face but no he just had to retort with

"Make me."

Texas froze. All conversation at the table stopped as they turned to look at them.

He could feel his face heating up and his stomach did a little flip flop at the thought of actually following through with California's request.

A few moments passed, completely silent. California raised his eyebrow, waiting, daring him to do it.

"Wh.." half a word. That was all his could manage in this flustered state. He could practically feel Florida's eyes fixed on him, and that little grin he had whenever he was going to tease another state.

"You won't. So as I was saying-" California continued to lecture him, now with a smug little smirk on his face.
