Alaska and Texas were chilling, watching some cheesy show on a Saturday morning. No meetings, no expectations, they could just lay there all day if they wished.
Texas has his head on Alaska's chest, feeling the rise and fall with each breath. It was rather calming.
He hadn't really been paying attention to the show, his mind long since having wandered away, but he pulled himself out of his thoughts just in time to see some character eating pie with the most happy look on their face.
"This is the best thing in my life!" They said, as they finished off their piece.
"Hey Texas" Alaska piped up, having been silent for most of the show
"Wanna know what the best thing in my life is?"
"Hm? What is it?"
"You"
Texas pulls his hat over his face to hide the blush he can feel rising to his cheeks. He mumbles something incoherent before Alaska pulls him closer with one arm, and removes the hat with the other.
"Oh come on, don't hide, you're much to handsome for that"
Texas just knew he was as red as a tomato
"Jeez Alaska you're gonna kill me" he manages to squeak out
The taller state just chuckles, kisses him on the forehead, and turns his attention back to the show.
