Essex complaining next to you.

You are with Essex right now in your bedroom, sitting next to each other on the bed, trying to deal with her pain.
Sometimes when she compares herself to Enterprise, like she has to do better because Enterprise took all the success, it kind of annoyed you.
You were not the type to deal with a person trying so hard to compare themselves to others just because another person was deployed and has fame because they took most of the successes.

But, what you liked about "Ms. Enterprise" here, was that she is a role model to Essex, a true heroine that even you envied.
Thanks to that, you were able to cope with Essex's feelings in some way or another.
Like what you are doing at the moment.

But this would happen most of the time, which sometimes you can't deal with.
You were already tired of her self doubting herself.
But for the sake of your friend, you kept it secret because you don't want to hurt her feelings.

Looking around, to your left, you see a few of these docks made at least a few feet long, relaxing on top of the blue waters.
These are where everyone either equips or moors their ships.
You wanted to sprint across the dock and engage your ship.
So you got ready, taking a starting stance.
