[ON ONE MONDAY AFTERNOON...]

Emilia:  "Subaru, YOU IDIOT!!!"

Subaru:  "W-wait, Emilia-ta...!"

Without letting him finish his sentence, Emilia storms out of the room, slamming it behind her.
Emilia was very disappointed in Subaru.
No matter how many times she points out to Subaru that promises are important, he'll never understand the meaning and the weight every promise holds for someone.
She repeated herself, repeatedly and repeatedly...

But he still doesn't listen nor gets the importance through his head.
Now Emilia is now through with it all, this was the last straw.
This time, their relationship as friends might be done for good.

Emilia, who was not paying attention as she fast walked accidentally bumps into someone.

???:  "Emilia...?"

Emilia:  "Y-Y/n...?"

Y/n just got done talking to Beatrice about some matters around witches.
He needed every information he can get, they were in a middle of a war, after all.
Y/n sees Emilia with tears among her cheeks.

Y/n:  "Emilia."
Y/n calls out to her softly as he opens his arms out.

Emilia runs and proceeds to return the hug, sniffling onto his chest.
Emilia:  "Subaru..."
Emilia: *sniff*
Emilia: "He doesn't care about how I feel... at all...!"

He would always do this with Emilia when she doesn't feel good, if she wants to cuddle, or when she's crying, like now.
And it seems Y/n has an idea of what's going on.
As mad as he was towards Subaru, he let it go.
It was not the place nor the time to fight amongst other allies.
Although he doesn't see Subaru as an ally.

Y/n:  "Want to go in my room to talk?"

Emilia:  "Mm..."
Emilia nods.

A few moments later, they made it to Y/n's room.
He kindly leads Emilia to sit on his bed before settling down next to her.
The entire time, he held Emilia's hand for comfort.

Emilia:  'Just like the old times...'
It made Emilia feel way more comfortable with him.
She may or may not have had this butterfly feeling in her stomach that she didn't notice.

Y/n:  "So, what happened, Emilia?"

Emilia:  "Well..."
Emilia: "You see, um..."
Emilia immediately goes silent.
