Chapter 8: Friday Night Bites part 2

Gilbert Residence
At the Dining Room, Alaïa, Elena, Stefan, and Bonnie are eating together.

"Did Tanner give you a hard time today? Elena asked Stefan breaking the silence as Alaïa takes a sip from her water and smiles at everyone.

"Well, he let me on the team, so I must have done something right." Stefan explains with a small smile.

"Bonnie, you should have seen Stefan today. Tyler threw a ball right at him, and..."  Elena said as she was cut off by Bonnie, "Yeah, I heard."

"Why don't you tell Stefan about your family? Alaïa asked Bonnie with a small smile.

"Um, divorced. No mom. Live with my dad." Bonnie said as Stefan listens to her.

"No, about the witches. Bonnie's family has a lineage of witches. It's really cool. Stefan." Alaïa said with a bright smile, which catches Stefan's attention.

"Cool isn't the word I'd use." Bonnie said looking at Alaïa.

"Well, it's certainly interesting. I'm not too versed, but I do know that there's a history of Celtic druids that migrated here in the 1800s." Stefan said.

"My family came by way of Salem." Bonnie said as she looks at Stefan.

"Really? Salem witches? Stefan asked.

"Yeah" Bonnie said looking at him.

I would say that's pretty cool." Stefan said with a small smile.

"Really? Why?" Bonnie asked.

"Salem witches are heroic examples of individualism and nonconformity." Stefan explain.

"Yeah, they are." Bonnie said with a small smile.

[The doorbell rings again.]

"I wonder who that could be." Alaïa said as she her fork down and stands up and walking to answer the door.

[Alaïa opens the door. Caroline and Damon are outside.]

"Surprise! Bonnie said you were doing dinner, so we brought dessert." Caroline said as she walks in, handing Alaïa the dessert.

"Oh." Alaïa said as she takes the dessert.

"Hope you don't mind. " Damon said standing outside the door.

"What are you doing here?" Stefan asked as Damon besides Alaïa.

"Waiting for Alaïa to invite me in." Damon said with a smirk as Alaïa looks at Damon a bit confuse. .

"Oh, yeah, you can..." Alaïa said as she was cut off by Stefan.

"No, no, no. He can't, uh...he can't stay. Can. you, Damon?" Stefan asked as his brother.

"Get in here." Caroline said as Elena and Bonnie sooner came over. "We're just...finishing up." Stefan said, "It's fine. Just come on in." Alaïa said with A bright smile. Damon smiles at Alaïa as he walks in and she feels his hand against hers before her walks to Caroline. Alaïa bites her lips a bit as she shakes her head.
