Gilbert Residence
[ Alaia wakes up in her bed. She gets out of bed and goes to her desk. She grabs her diary.]
Alaïa: [voiceover] Dear diary, I know its been a while. A long while. I haven't needed – I haven't wanted to write this stuff down, but I don't want to say it out loud either. The thing is: I'm a vampire and I hate it.
[Alaïa sits down on her window seat, opens her diary, and begins to write.]
Alaïa : [voiceover] I feel hopeless, depressed, angry, but most of all; I'm scared.
[Alaïa continues to write in her diary.]
Alaïa : [voiceover] Part of me just wants to end it, but then I think of Jeremy, Elena . I'm all that they has left, so I need to find a way through this. No matter what it takes. Hope my sweet Hope needs her mommy to stay.
[ Alaia opens her bedroom door. Damon walks into her room.]
Alaïa: Excuse me? What are you doing?
Damon: Where's Stefan?
Alaïa : Okay, uh, good morning to you too.
Damon: He's not answering his phone and he's not here, which you know, big deal, we've only got a killer vampire hunter on the loose.
Alaïa: I haven't talked to him yet today.
Damon: Hmm. [He walks towards Alaïa and sticks out his hand.] Give me your phone. Maybe he's dodging me.
Alaïa: [starts digging through her purse for her phone.] Why would he be dodging you?
Damon: Oh, I don't know, maybe because he thinks I'm bad influence on you.
