We planned to celebrate Christmas together while he'll be with Iouis for the New Year. I thought I'll be on the New Year alone but mama Celestina invited me and I obviously said yes.

Jarvis and I had also been planning for the resort we'll build. It'll be the first branch of my resort outside the Philippines. We also found some investors and everything's going smoothly. The construction will start next year and I couldn't help but to feel excited yet nervous at the same time.

It was the twenty-fourth of December and the both us were busy preparing for Christmas Eve. His large penthouse was adorned with red and white decorations; better and more festive that it was before. There were garlands, Christmas lights, figurines, "Christmas" scented candles, and a tall Christmas tree stood in front of the floor-to-ceiling window with wrapped presents beneath it.

And Jarvis, being extra that he is, changed the pillowcases of the throw pillows, carpets, and even had some flowers arranged for the dining table's centerpiece.

I stood in front of the floor-to-ceiling window and admired the breathtaking view from his penthouse—the skyscrapers were covered in frost and everything looked calm and merry.

I felt Jarvis' presence beside so I turned to him. I smiled at him before focusing my attention to the Christmas tree that we spent a whole day in decorating. We bought the decorations from a nearby store and even argued on the theme.

"The theme's white Christmas?" I asked while putting some garlands in our cart.

He nodded and busied himself with the candles.

"Why? Just curious."

"You don't like colorful stuffs."

"What?!" gulat akong napatingin sa kaniya.

"You don't like colorful stuffs," pag-uulit niya.

"So the reason why we're buying white decorations is because you thought I wouldn't want them if they're colorful?"

"Yeah," aniya nang hindi pa rin tumitingin sa akin. "I want you to enjoy and like everything."

"I was thinking of black since that's your favorite color but then it would be dull," he added.

"But you don't like black," I pointed out.

He shrugged. "Well, I wouldn't mind if it's for you."

I felt the familiar swooping sensation and couldn't help but to smile at his thoughtfulness.

"So, what scent do you prefer?" he asked, trying to change the topic.

"Something not so sweet," I answered.

"Good choice," aniya bago ako tinalikuran.

I followed him and poked his shoulder.

"Why don't we add some red?" I suggested.

He smiled but immediately shook his head. "You don't like red."

"But you do."

"I can adjust. White's not bad," aniya.

"I can adjust too."

He smiled at my words while I smirked at him. We then started adding some red decorations to our cart.
