Someone's POV

"How is she?" The person in front of me asked. He's a known and powerful man and I can't help but get intimidated. He's just four years older than me.

"Doing great" I said boredly.

"Still a young man with few words" he chuckled.

I did not answer. Hindi ko hilig magsalita ng mahaba. I don't care if he's a powerful man. I am just doing this because of her.

"I heard she received a death threat. How are you handling it?" Seryoso ang mukha nitong nakatingin sa akin.

"Tsk, you know me. They will never hurt her."

He softly smiled.

"Very well. I don't want to risk her life again while we are infiltrating the traitor's den. Please ensure her safety first. That's our top priority."

Tumango lang ako.

"By the way, what's the progress?" He gave me a glass of wine. Tinanggap ko iyon at ininom. But I'd rather drink the hard one.

"I am still confirming that girl's connection to him." Inilapag ko ang baso sa lamesa.

"Good. Watch her closely and report to me any progress as soon as possible. Thank you. You can now go back to Philippines"

Tumayo ako at lumabas na. Niluwagan ko ang kwelyo ko dahil para akong nasasakal. Being too formal is a pain in the ass.

Lumabas na ako sa mansyon at sumakay na sa motor ko.

I want to have a drink.

Steph's POV

"I am coming with you in Singapore" bungad sakin ni Laurence nang makapasok ako sa office nya.

It's been a week since I received the package at mangyari ang insidente kung saan ako tinulungan ni Damon. Pumayag na din ako na magkaroon ng bantay at para hindi mailang ay nagpapalitan sina Matt, Damon, Stanley at Ced kapag wala si Laurence.

At ngayon nga ay nandito ako sa office ni Laurence after kong magpaalam na pupunta kami sa Singapore for scheduled inspection ng isang supplier.

"What?"

"I said I am coming with you. Don't make me repeat myself" nag angat ito ng tingin at sinalubong ang mata ko.

"I am with Maricel sir." Next week kasi ay may pupuntahan kaming supplier sa Singapore para iinspect. Si Maricel ang isinama ko dahil sya ang pinakamatagal sa team.

"No, cancel her flight. I'll be accompanying you." Matigas na turan nito.

I sighed. Like I can do something to disobey him. He's still my boss.

"I am just going to inform Maricel" excited pa naman ito nang sabihin ko na sya ang isasama ko sa Singapore at halos naayos na ng company ang flights namin.

"Good. It's better if I am with you."

"Hindi ka ba busy?" Umupo ako sa sofa na katapat nya.

Inalis nito ang reading glass. D'mn, how can he be so handsome?

"I'll always find time for you, sweetheart." He smiled and I felt my heart skip a beat.

"Wag ka ngang ngumiti" umirap ako dito at umiwas ng tingin.

"Are you falling? Don't worry, I am just waiting to catch you." He chuckled and I snorted.

"Where's the cold Laurence I met before?"
