Chapter 17

Laurence Titus' POV

"I already changed her clothes, son. You can see her now."

My mom said, I brought Stephanie into the guest room to let her rest. The doctor said she just fainted and will wake up soon.

My mom bid goodbye because they still have guests to attend to.

The whole gang, including Shey, are still here and so we entered the room to see My Stephanie.

I looked at her.

She is already bare faced and she's really pale. I guess mom also took off her makeup. I held her hand.

"One of the guests saw someone push her to the pool. Do you already have an idea who it is?" Matt asked.

"Fiona" I heard Shey answered in a low tone just enough for all of us to hear her.

"Fiona? Ang tagal na nyang hindi nagpaparamdam diba? What made you think that she's behind this incident?" Tanong ni Cedric kay Shane. I looked at her.

"I-I saw her. Earlier at the party. I thought wala siyang gagawing masama kaya hindi ko na nasabi sa inyo. Nakalimutan ko how obsessed she is with sir Titus. I'm sorry. Sana nag insist akong samahan si Stephanie" napa yuko ito.

Hindi na ako nagsalita at tiningnan lamang ang magandang mukha ni Steph.

If it's Fiona, I have no doubt that she will be able to do this.

"I am still curious, though" biglang wika ni Stanley.

"Ano na namang iniisip mo? Siguraduhin mong matino yan" wika sa kanya ni Cedric.

Stanley paused for a moment.

"Nevermind. I'll confirm it myself" Stanley said and smirked at Cedric" Hindi mo rin magegets kapag sinabi ko" Stanley stuck out his tongue to annoy Ced. Back to the childish Stanley.

Binato ni Cedric ng unan si Stanley. "Gag*"

"Aba't!"

"Stop or I'll kick you out of this room?"
Matigas na wika ko.

"Sya naman nauna ehh" sagot pa ni Stanley sabay turo kay Cedric.

I gave him a death glare and Stanley acted like he zipped his mouth.

I tightly held Steph's hand and kissed it's back.

I will never let Fiona harm you again.

Steph's POV

Naalimpungatan ako dahil sa ingay na naririnig ko sa paligid.

Bakit parang ang daming tao sa kwarto ko?

Nang magmulat ako ng mata ay nanlaki ang mga iyon nang mabungaran ko ang mukha ni Laurence.

Saka lamang nag sink in sa akin na nawalan ako ng malay pagkatapos kong mailigtas mula sa pagkakalunod.

"Steph!" Sabay sabay na tawag nila maliban kay Damon at Laurence.

Nagtangka akong bumangon at inalalayan ni Laurence ang likod ko.

"You need something?"

"T-tubig" dahil pakiramdam ko ay nanunuyo ang lalamunan ko.

Agad na inabutan ako ni Shey ng isang basong tubig. I thanked her at ininom iyon agad.

Napatingin ako sa damit ko. Hindi ko na suot ang dress ko kanina.

"Mom changed your clothes." Sambit ni Laurence na tila nabasa ang iniisip ko.
