Chapter 55:
THE GAME

Ester's POV

"There's one thing you have to remember: the moment you enter the maze, you will be transported to different places. Heaven will contact you through air. Follow her voice and reunite as soon as possible. You have to fight together to win this competition, okay?" huling salita ni Mr. Vector. This will be our strategy to win the game.

"For Signus academy!" Finnix initiated a cheer. He put his hand in the middle at ipinatong din namin ang aming mga kamay dito.

"FOR SIGNUS ACADEMY!"

Nakasuot ang bawat isa sa amin ng maroon na combat suit.  Ako, si Finnix, Winwin, Ten, Crystal, Hydra, Heaven at Crystal. Kami ang napiling lumaban para sa karangalan ng aming paaralan. Sinundan namin si Mr. Vector papasok ng battlefield ng arena.

Mula rito ay naririnig na namin ang mga hiyawan ng mga sumusuportang estudyante ng iba't ibang akademya. Ngunit, mas nangingibabaw ang pangalan ng aming akademya.

"SIGNUS ACADEMY!"

"SIGNUS ACADEMY!"

"SIGNUS ACADEMY.....WOOOHOOOOH!"

Lalong lumakas ang sigawan nila nang tuluyan na kaming magpakita sa battlefield. Most of them are raising banners to cheer us. Ang mas ikinamangha ko ay halos nagsisiksikan na ang mga estudyante sa sobrang dami. Puno at halos hindi na mahulugan ng karayom sa sobrang dami ng nanonood.

Dumagundong pa ang ingay ng arena nang sunod-sunod na magpakita ang iba pang kalahok para sa kompetisyon.

"GOOD MORNING! GOOD MORNING! GOOD MORNING!" Nanahimik ang lahat nang marinig ang napakalakas at hindi pangkaraniwang boses na ito. "It seems everyone is thrilled and excited!"

"YEEEEEESSSS!" sigaw ng lahat.

"Hindi pa nagsisimula ang kompetisyon pero halatang nag-aapoy na ang mga tagasuporta sa excitement. Once again, good morning! I am Arzo Zaphir, a professor from Tersia Academy. Sure you can hear my voice, right? For I will be your emcee for this year's competition," Mr. Zaphir announced. It is his signus why we can hear him even just with his speaking voice. He can manipulate sounds. "Huwag na nating patagalin 'to! Let's all give around of applause to the competition's initiator, the one and only headmistress of Signus Academy, Headmistress Alicia!"

Nagsipalakpakan ang lahat sa pagtayo at pagkaway ni Ms. A. She is wearing a violet formal dress which made her look stunning. Tiningnan ko si Crystal at nakita ko ang proud sa mga mata niya. She is proud of her mom. Wala akong makitang isang nilalang na hindi pumapalakpak. Si Ms. A lang naman ang headmistress ng pinakakilalang akademya sa boung Archania. Kaya lahat ng tao ay sobrang humahanga sa kaniya.

"First of all, I would like to thank the headmasters and headmistresses for responding to Signus Academy's invitation. I would also like to congratulate the students who will participate on this competition. To get chosen by your academy to be its representative for this compeition is already an honor. No matter what happens, win or lose, you are all champions and the pride of your academy. From this very moment, I am happy to annouce that the Annual Academy Competition officially commence!"

Mas malakas na hiyawan pa ang narinig sa buong akademya dahil sa speech ni Ms. A at dahil na rin sa sobrang excitement.

Sa pagkumpas ng kamay ni Ms. A ay may tumubong halaman sa pinakagitnang bahagi ng arena. May nakapatong na cube dito, a normal and simple cube. But, since it came from Ms. A, it must be special just like the Signus Flower.
