"That's the Cube of Nothingness. Diyan tayo papasok para maglaban-laban. Inside the cube is a new world and everything that will happen inside will be shown in a hologram above," Finnix murmured beside me as he and Crystal changed position.

Ms. A swayed her palm once again and a box appeared in front of us, hovering on the air.

"Contestants, please pick a bracelet from the box," Mr. Arzo commanded.

We did as he said. Kumuha ako ng isang bracelet sa box na nasa harap namin. Ganun din ang ginawa ng iba pang mga kalahok.

"What you picked from the box is the most valuable item in this competition. It will serve as your entrance ticket that can help you enter the cube. But... one of the bracelet from each team is fake and ineffective so one from each team will never be able to enter the cube. To those who will enter the cube, treat the bracelet as a treasure. Once stolen, taken away from your wrist, or broken, you will instantly be eliminated from the game. You will be transported outside the cube. The team who has the most numbers of survivors after the two hours duration will be announced as the winner. Remember, you are allowed to surrender. Once the cube is activated, those outside cannot enter and those inside cannot exit unless you get eliminated. No one outside the cube can help you. But remember that this is a friendly competition. Nagliwanag ang kamay ni Ms. A as she whispers a spell. The cube shook as if it heard Ms. A's whisper. A yellow glowing liquid flowed on the lines of the cube until the cube is highlighted by the yellow lines.

Nagsimulang magliwanag ang mga bracelet sa kamay namin. Hanggang sa lumakas ang liwanag nito na halos ikinabulag ko. The light faded, and when I opened my eyes, I found myself standing in the middle of gigantic walls.

"Nakapasok na ba sila sa Cube of Nothingness?" tanong ni Egar sa kaniyang alagad na espiya sa akademya.

"O'o mahal na hari," sagot ng espiya.

"How about Ester? Naitakas n'yo na ba siya?" tanong muli ni Egar.

"Patawad Mahal na Hari ngunit maraming mata ang nakabantay sa kaniya at isa na doon si Alicia. Mahirap siyang itakas mula sa kaniya."

"Huwag kang mag-alala. May ipinadala na ako upang itakas siya ngayon din."

"Sa tingin ko ay hindi n'yo rin magagawang maitakas siya ngayon Mahal na Hari. Pati si Ester ay nakapasok na rin sa Cube of Nothingness. Pumalpak ako sa bagay na ito. Tinatanggap ko ang kahit na anong iparusa ninyo, Mahal na Hari."
