"Are you ready?" Katrina , my midwife asked and I nodded wiping the sweat off my forehead.
"Damn , you sweating bullets" June said amused and I mugged him . He then reached out and grabbed my arms helping me up.
"The water prolly not even warm anymore."
"I put scorching hot water in that mug on purpose , it better still be hot" June shook his head
"You have to take-The shorts off I know." I cut promise off.
"Huh?" June bugg asked confused
"Just turn away" Katrina giggled

I laughed out loud making them look at me weird . J
une turned away as I pulled my shorts down . I wasn't wearing no panties because I had to change once my water broke .
Katrina helped me step into the pool. Sure enough it was warm . It still felt good so I wasn't complaining . I kicked my foot around still standing feeling for the little seat that was in it .
I sat down and relaxed . Feeling like pressure in my va-jay-jay. "I'm done changing you can turn around now."
"You in the pool all the way?" He asked still facing the wall
"Boy i'm not showing nun you aint seen before."
"On god" Promise laughed
"You right" He shrugged still down "But you still gotta nigga though"
"True" I replied dryly .
"You should be good to push , you can go when you're ready"
"See I couldn't do this , Nari you one bold mufucka" Promise frowned shaking her head making me laugh
"Why you wont P?"
"Because , you can't even get an epidural in this bitch; Just taking all the pain ."
I shrugged "The pain is a here and there , really just feel light headed." I told her then at Katrina "Is that normal?"
"During giving birth , yes." She told me smiling making me nod and lean my head back.
"Where is dude again?"
"In New York" I told him referring to Genesis, he didn't even answer my call when I called him after my water broke . I'm not about say that infront of June though.
"Mm, doing what?"
"June.."
"What? You know ion be worried bout no nigga but- if you out here popping out a baby he couldn't have flew out here to be with you?"
"Not everybody can just catch flights last minute" I shook my head not wanting to talk about this anymore .
"Damn that's crazy as hell-I was just eating cereal earlier today . And look at me, here? Thats crazy."
