Amethyst.
Another day of school meant another day of bullying. I had to walk 20 minutes to go to school. My father owns a car but he says slaves don't deserve to sit in cars. He always drives my siblings to their school though. My siblings go to a private school because mom said they were worth the education. I go to a public school. My school is not the best but it's the worst. Teachers don't acknowledge bullying and the bathrooms are dirty. Everything about that school is fucked up.

I sighed as I continued my journey to hell. I wonder what it would feel like to actually have someone drive me to school. Or what it feels like to have friends.

Hey, we're your friends, right?

I chuckled, lightly. I need friends who aren't inside my head, Pearl.

I know.

Friends suck.

I'm sure they don't, Sapphire.

I'm fine with not having any friends. As long as I have my gemstones with me.

I giggled. We call ourselves gemstones. After all, our names did come from gemstones. I first thought it was a coincidence when Sapphire and Pearl told me their names. A huge coincidence really. But now, I'm starting to think it's fate.

After walking for what felt like forever, I made it to school. I sighed and walked to the entrance. It'd be nice if I don't bump into Lily and her minions. It's bad enough that they think I like her. I just accidentally groped her melons. To be honest, I guess she only got mad when I told her she had small melons. I mean her face turned red and she slapped me so I guess that's why. Ever since the melon incident, she told everyone that I had a crush on her.

I continued walking through the hallways with my head down. But of course, the world hates me. Before I could reach my locker, I felt a hard fist make contact with my face. I fell to the ground. "It's the dyke!" Oh no, it's Lily.

Can you try to at least act more scared?

That won't help, Sapphire.

I ignored the voices in my head as I stood up. How can a small girl pack a hard punch? She grinned and kicked my legs, making me fall on my butt.

She flashed a smirk, "Have fun in detention." Detention? Since when did I get detention?

Noticing my confused expression, her smirk grew wider. She sat on the ground and screamed, "Amethyst, how could you!" Her screams were followed by the yells of her minions. Bystanders stood watching, some even joined in the yelling.

"What is going on here?!"

I looked at Ms. Jensen. Her eyebrows furrowed as she scanned the scene. Lily let out a fake cry, "Amethyst pushed me and started yelling at me!"

I frowned, "She's lying! Look at me, I'm the one with bruises!" It was true. Lily didn't even have a single scratch while I had bruises. One of Lily's minions glared at me, "You've always had bruises, that doesn't count!"

"Ah! My ankle! I-I think Amethyst broke it." Lily stated, her eyes dramatically closing. Ms. Jensen looked at me with rage in her eyes.

I didn't say anything because it was already clear who won. I sighed and stood up with my head down. If I looked at Lily, I'll only see her sinister smirk and her triumphant eyes. Her face would mock me so I stayed silent. My face held a stoic look when I faced Ms. Jensen.
