Chapter 40

Emilia's bakery...

I put my plate in the sink washing it up. Am ready for work, i just had my breakfast which consists of milk, pancakes and bacon. My eyes caught the bouquet of lilies my mother placed in a vase. I rolled my eyes, as an apology gift, Hunter sent me a box of chocolate with a bouquet of lilies.

I ignored his calls and text messages. Am not ready to face him yet and he texted me that he will give me space but he is not going to wait for long.

"Slow down boys what is with the rush?" My mum cautioned the twins as the devour, gulp and rush down their foods like a competition, in the quest of wanting more. They both slowed down but continued again in a much fast pace. It is weird how they sometimes work in synchronization.
"Am i training or breeding animals? i said eat properly" she chided.

I smile, these boys are something else. I recalled how mum had to wake Matt up this morning. She used water by sprinkling it on his face. Typical seventeen years old boys and their sleeping habits. I grab my purse and keys. I kissed my mum on her cheeks, she returned the gesture.

"Bye mum" I kissed the boys on their cheeks also.

"Don't forget tomorrow's game" Max cried out. I laughed, they were both in the basketball team, they have a big game tomorrow night.

I remember back in highschool, we had a football team and the basketball team in our school, even till now. Rosalia forced me into cheer leading because she does not want to deal with Matilda alone. It's been long since i have seen that girl, she always cheer loudly for Antonio during his football game, screaming that he is her boyfriend. I sigh remembering i have to deal with Antonio also, why is my life filled with drama all of a sudden.

"Don't worry... Am gonna cheer the shit out of you guys!" I shouted closing the door. I walked down the porch heading to my car. A figure jumped out of no where.

"Arrrh!!!" I screamed bloody murder, but stop as i hear the familiar laugh.

"Oh my God Love... You should have seen your face" he doubled over in laughter, i gave him murderous glare trying to calm my speeding heart, which i know is not only because of the scare but his stupid handsome face which makes my heart pump blood than it should.

"What is wrong with you!?, how can you scare me like that?!"

"Forgive me my love, i wanted to surprise you" he said trying to control his laughter. I stumped my feet storming away but he quickly blocked me.

"Move away" I snarled.

"No" he said his voice calm and in control, he know looks really serious. "You told me i should give you time, that i should give you space in which i did"

"It's not enough_"

"I don't care Leah!" He cuts me off "don't you get it, am crazy about you!" He moves closer trying to grab my cheeks but i moved away, he sighs "am new to this serious relationship thingy, and am trying to make this work, we just need to settle this and understand each other Leah... Please let me explain"

There was silence for a moment as i stare into space ignoring his beautiful green eyes, which was staring me in the face. His cologne was blocking my sense of reasoning. I moved around him walking towards my car.

"So there is nothing your going to say to this, you are just going to ignore me like always" I turn to look at him.

"There is nothing to say Hunter" I turn pulling out the keys to my car. All of a sudden I was airlifted and swang over his shoulder like a sack.

"Let me down you idiot!" I screamed hitting him on the back which was as hard as steel. He ignored my screams heading towards his fancy car.

"No... And you can scream all you want, no one will answer you, aunt gave me a go ahead yesterday knowing you could be stubborn" I groaned, no wonder my brothers were not running to my rescue, she must have ordered them to sit their ass down. I felt betrayed.

"I have a job you know"

"No worries babe, i spoke to your boss yesterday that am taking you out for the whole day, so you are pardoned, i mean you are his favourite and he seems to like me" I can feel his smirk even if i can't see him. There goes my last card. I try to struggle in his strong hold as we got closer to the Range Rover. It was in vain as he opened the front passenger seat, throwing my purse in the backseat, he gently placed me on my seat. I quickly tried to get out but he closed the door, i try to open the door but found it locked. Did he just child lock me?!

I glare at him as he got into the car, he looks unaffected as he drove off.

"You know this is kidnapping right? And it is a punishable offence" he shrugs.

"Whatever you say love" I huff.

"This is crazy and stupid"

"Well i won't have done something crazy or stupid if you had listen to me"

"And why should i listen to you Hunter, your girlfriend warn_"

"Ex girlfriend, Leah.. " he grits.

"And so?, it does not_"

"Will you be quiet Leah! You don't see me complaining when you kissed that asshole!" He shouts at me as i flinched at his livid face. I went mute. He sighs now looking guilty. "Leah am sorry_"

"No no, just drive.... Please" I begged him, my voice shaky. I hate it when people shouts at me, i tend to cry when this happens. Hunter not only shouted but also accused me of cheating.

I ignored him, staring out at the blurry trees and buildings. The silence in the car was an uncomfortable one. A treacherous tear escape as i quickly wipe it off. After a while, we got to the beach. He parked the car, there was silence.

"Am sorry Leah.. Am sorry i snapped at you" I remain quiet, like he wants me to be"please say something"

"Who is she?" I asked.

"She is my ex Leah and there is nothing going on between us, i swear_" I cut him off, i don't need him to swear.

"Then why is she here Hunter, i learnt she is staying with you" I need to figure this out if we want this to work.

"It was an impromptu visit Leah but she as moved out, am not lying" he said looking serious.

"God... I sounded like a jealous girlfriend" he smirks "no... Don't even dare"

"Am not doing anything" he shrugs playfully.

"She said i don't deserve you... That you are gonna leave me once you have finished using me" I said sounding insecure. He quickly grabs my hand placing a kiss on it.

"I will never... Leah, i can't even think of living without you" I smile at his reassuring words.

"Please don't break my heart Hunter, you are the first person i had let in" I hushed him placing my index finger on his plump lips "don't talk, just please don't break my heart, cause i don't think i would be able to live without you too" he smiled giving me a kiss on my forehead, then he kissed me, that moment... Everything seems right.

We walked on the shore of the deserted beach hand in hand, talking about anything that comes to our mind. Until he asked me a question.

"Where do you wish to visit, like your dream destination?" He asked me as we both sat down, inhaling the salty scent of water.

"Ummm... Paris, i heard it is a beautiful city, some even called it the city of love" she beamed, looking radiant, she was unaware of Hunter staring at her with so much love. He hummed.

"Indeed it is, i had been there countless of times" I gaped.

"Really?" he nods, of course he as, his family is loaded.

"One day i will take you there.. It's a promise" he said it with so much intensity in his eyes, Leah blushed waving his words off. How will he take her there? She just doesn't see it happening.

"Will you be free tomorrow?" I asked him suddenly.

Yessss... My favourite couple are back together!!!!
