Chapter 23(B)

There was a pin drop silence in the room as the three friends stood, thinking about the horrible video they just watched.

Hunter wiped at the hot, treacherous tears falling down his cheeks as he tries to think that what he just watched didn't affect him.

"Where are you going?" Mason asked sounding agitated when he started leaving the room.

"I want to get a drink" he said through clenched teeth.

"No, you are not in the right state of mind to go out there" he cautioned. "People are out there, your parents will know something happened once they see your face" he warned.

"I don't care!" He snapped. 

"Well i do! I know you are angry but don't overreact! Sit down!" Mason ordered angrily.

Hunter threw him a menacing glare but he refused to back down on his words. 

Huffing, Hunter sat down on the cushion, fuming as he clenched his fist. Alfredo picked the necklace placed on the table by Hunter staring at the expensive looking jewelry curiously.

"Who sent the video?"

"I don't know... Apart from the initials N.S..  It is anonymous"

There was another round of silence. Hunter stood up abruptly, his anger filled to the rim.

They next he knew was he was kicking and smashing anything in sight. Alfredo and Mason quickly held him down as he cried out.

"I failed her, i really failed her!"

"Hunter get a hold of yourself" Mason snapped again praying the commotion didn't disturb the party outside.

Hunter gasped as he hits him.

"What was that for?!"

"Snap out of it!" Mason yelled.

"This necklace looks familiar to me" Alfredo whispered to himself.

The door to the room slam opened as their parents trooped in.

"What is going on in here?" The older O'Neil questioned as he eyed his son who was still holding Hunter down.

"We heard the noise, we had to put a stop to the party thinking something happened. Are you guys fighting?" Celine O'Neil interrogated as Eleanora and Annabeth also came in to see what caused the strange commotion.

Mason helped Hunter up, dusting his suit.

"Nothing happened" Mason said but they don't look convinced as the stared at the broken vase, and other expensive china ware which laid broken in waste.

"Mum...?" Alfredo called as all eyes turned to him. "have you come across this from anywhere?"

Eleanora squints her eyes at the necklace before her eyes widen in recognition as she gasped.

"Th... That is my necklace" she whispered but everyone in the room could hear her.

Gabriel stares at the necklace he remember giving her twenty five years ago. He never collected it when he left her more like threw her out.

Her mouth dried up, her hands caresses the diamond as she inhaled sharply.

It was really hers.

She gasped when Hunter snatched it from Alfredo's hold.

"Aunt... You must be mistaken, this belongs to Leah in which am planning on giving it back to her" he said with finality.

"Give it to me" Alfredo said through clenched teeth.
