you stood at the front of the bus with the other team manager, kiyoko, watching the boys cheer and share victory high fives. they had just won a practice match with another school, and of course that put them in high spirits for the actual game they'll be playing next week.
you, being the manager that was always out there with them and playful with the boys, were called over by tanaka and nishinoya. you wasted no time rushing over, joining in on the high fives and cheering. "i'm so proud of you guys!"
"thank you." they spoke back, giving up the high fives for hugs. you laughed, not noticing sugawara giving out his cheerful, yet lightly painful, punches. "we did it!" until, of course, you felt one yourself.
