In her first life, Kairi spent most of her days in the hospital. Doctors came and went, shaking their heads. Nurses dutifully recorded every change in her condition. Her parents... well, their visits became sparse over the years. Awaiting answers as to what was causing her illness and with countless empty hours to fill, she picked up painting, crocheting, reading... soon, her room was full of projects, but nothing could fill the two empty seats beside her hospital bed.
