Misery likes company,
So Satan had a plan,
To add to his team; the first Human
To him it was a relay race
Seeds of doubt, pride and grief all part of his baton.
Ready to pass it on.
Believing for a moment that he had won.
Adam lived in Eden
But only for a season
He communed with God
Until sin entered his life
For which he blamed Eve; his wife
Death seeming the ultimate price.
This he passed on to every generation
The struggle between right and wrong became our daily decision
But God was Beforehand on a mission
To let Jesus leave the glory of heaven
To walk on an Earth that was no longer perfect Eden
Suffering all temptations known to man
Yet He kept every command
He is the lamb
He is the second Adam
Slain from the foundations of the world
He paid the ultimate price
He won back our lives
He overcame death
He nullified Satan's threats.
To us he passes on the power to overcome
To us he gives grace, mercy, love, talents, life.
To us he gives The gospel.
Will we keep it to ourselves?
Or will we follow the great commission
This our burning mission.
To pass it on
Let's pass it on!
