Note!!! this is a veryyy old poem but I hope it's up to standard.

********

Sometimes ignorance and innocence goes hand in hand.

To not know,

To not experience,

To not feel,

The pain of knowing the truth that sight may reveal,

The inverted images,

The diminished appeals,

And broken smiles,

Hidden behind life's many mirrors.

I wish I needed not to accompany you

In your charade of lies,

Continuous games,

Played in shadows of deceit.

We are friends you say,

We should trust,

We should love,

But when backs are turned,

There is a time for everything you state.

I wish to remain ignorant and innocent in your eyes,

My partaking in this game,

You know nothing of,

Let it be read as stupidity,

Lack of endeavor,

At least in your presence,

For your judgement and hate,

I find knowingly,

I wish simultaneously,

To not know at all,

Knowledge tarnishes the heart,

But through pain peace follows,

Denial quivers,

Acceptance advances,

Experience builds,

And the next time,

Without playing,

Time will heal.
