A fresh start

A month has passed and everything seemed to be going great. Winter and Nae was in so a great place. The girls was in school and Thanksgiving was nearing. Nae was showing more and to be quite honest her ass was more than ready for it to be over. Who can blame her if you ever been pregnant I'm more than sure you remember this stage; over EVERYTHING! Walking, talking, moving, can't see your feet, feet swollen, nothing fits you know the whole nine yards. Winter has been loving and patient through it all.

Choosing the correct person to marry, or have children by is very important. Nae wished she would've waited but God made no mistakes and she loved her babies. She is just happy she can raise her children in a home built on love and not survival. That right there is such a underrated blessing and she thanked God every day for it.

Red and Drea was in a better place. Years of stress and worry, hurt and what ifs had finally come to a haunt. Her husband was safe and alive and successfully made it out and for that she was so happy. Most end up dead or in jail or running for the rest of they lives. Sean Jr and Shawna was close to being 7 and 5 and Drea kinda was thinking about having another one. One that he can actually be around fully for.

King has successfully taken his seat on the throne. He always wanted this day and just was happy he was patient and stayed true to his values and morals to get it. Appreciating being under his brother but loving sitting on top equally. But he never once hated and that put a boast in his pride to know and say he was forever a stand up nigga shit Zy showed them family can cross you. Knowing Red and Black deserved it as much he did he was glad they was the men they are too. Loyalty brings forth royalty and that is constantly proven.

Unfortunately everyone ain't always happy to see you win. And even more unfortunate when your pride get bigger than your arms reach.

KING POV

"Speak heavy to me" King spoke as Winter answered the phone.
"Kings talk always hold weight" Winter replied. Winter as a child was obsessed with learning about Kings especially Black Kings Mansa Musa being his favorite to learn about. He begin to tell his brother they was kings and deserved to be on top, hints to how King real name Isaiah got his name.

"How's the family? My sis need to hurry and drop my nephew"
"Tell her ass that and get cursed out" Winter laughed.
"Cursed out? She got mean?" King didn't believe it Nae was always quiet and soft spoken.
"Man I told that woman while rubbing her belly I couldn't wait for him to get here, that lady ripped my head off, talking bout how I think she feel, asking if I was walking around swollen or is it just her" mocking his wife. Suddenly feeling a slap to the back of his head. Lanae was looking down at him "watch it" and walked away.

King heard the whole thing and was laughing hard as hell, he had to swerve to miss the car in front of him and pulled over. "Fuck you laughing for" he heard his brother speak. Finally catching his breath "boy that girl runs you!"
"Man fuck you, I wouldn't have it no other way" the sincerity in his brother voice. Made him one day want the same but he vowed his heart to the streets.
"Listen bro imma let you go and be a family man, I gotta go collect money from Big Dre and them"
"Big Dre?? Didn't I warn you about them niggas it's a reason I never did business with them" he can here the anger in Winter voice but it was his business now and his way.
"Man I know what I'm doing big bro I got this" very sure in himself and the empire they built he knew he was good.

Ending the call. He continued along his way. Stopping pass a couple familiar places. He parked in front of A&Bs barber shop, though he had dreads they was to the middle of his back he still kept a fresh shape up. Entering the shop he greeted Mr. A and was greeted by many in the place.

"Look who in charge now?" Mr.A watched the boys grow up. Playing the role of an uncle to them.
"You had doubt?" King laughed.
"Absolutely not but than again I never thought Winter would step down either" shit no one did.
The two chatted and caught up. King so much on his high horse he didn't even notice the evil look the stranger was giving him never paying attention to the hate that radiated off of him. If he would have he would've checked this problem at that moment.
