It was about four hours later and Maya was definitely in labour.
The contractions were close and she was dilated to a ten.
The baby was coming sooner than they thought and it was just a matter of fact before Maya had a daughter.
Maya was in the hospital bed while Josh sat next to her.
She had gotten the epidural just a few minutes ago and she was now calm.
The doctor had pushed her in the theater.
She was busy with the birth and was taking a break from pushing.
She definitely did know what to do with the entire thing and was calm.
She has heard the nurses gossiping about how it hasn't sunk in that she was giving birth.
But she doesn't think so.
"Okay Maya. You are doing good. I need you to give me one big push and then a breathe."
Maya did as the doctor told her.
She pushed and then she took a breathe.
"Good. You're doing good. We need another push and then a breathe."
"Good. Okay I can see the baby. We need one more big push."
Maya pushed and fell into the pillow then she and Josh heard crying.
They laid the baby on her chest and immediately Maya started to tear up as well.
"It's okay Sweetheart. Hey Darling."
"You were amazing," Josh said giving Maya a kiss on her head.
