It's been a month after the chaotic spell happened. Me and Hope are still dating and everything is the same. The only difference is that I don't have my episodes anymore. All of that pain and torture left the night of the spell. Lizzie and Josie were right. There was no aftereffects, Everything is back normal. We're all happy and peaceful.

"Don't push." Lizzie groans as we wait in line at the Mystic Falls annual water park. We have other parks but this one is special. It has the best slides and food. No other water park in town tops this one. People say the best time to go is at two o'clock,  but everyone goes at that time, so we wait until five. We're only allowed to stay for three hours.

Hope and Landon are arguing over what the best slide in the water park is. Rafael complains about it still being hot even though it's later. Josie and MG tries to calm everyone down and Penelope records the entire thing. I'm waiting at the end of the line laughing at everyone. Alaric is at the bottom of the slide telling us to not be so loud because there are other people here.

Someone else pushes Lizzie, so she turns around to yell. Only she slips and falls down the slide while grabbing Rafael. Everyone grabs onto the other and we all fall down the slide and land inside of the too cold pool. Lifeguards blow their whistles as we start to all yell in the pool. Other people around us swims away. The kids laugh at us and the adults shake their heads, Alaric being one of them.

"It isn't my fault that we got kicked out dad!" Lizzie is walking in front of all of us talking with her dad. Alaric turns around and scoffs.

"I believe your exact words were 'what are you going to do? Kick us out?'" He turns back around and starts to walk again. Lizzie is still telling him it's not her fault, but their conversation becomes faint.

"Hey. Have fun today?" Hope takes my hand in hers and walks with me to the car.

"Besides all the screaming and yelling, I had a lot of fun today. This day couldn't get any better." She smiles at me as we get inside of the car and head home.

As soon as we walk through the door, Dorian runs up to us. He's panting and out of breath.

"You guys, there's a monster here. It's some sort of version of Cupid. The arrow it shoots is deadly."

We all split up and start to look for a way to stop it. Alaric tells us to meet him in the gym in thirty minutes to come up with a plan. Kids all around the school are hiding in the rooms with objects behind their doors and windows. I never understood why we were always the ones who saved everyone. It might be because we're the bravest.

I'm a few minutes later and everyone is getting ready to attack the monster. A few weapons and books sit on a nearby table.

"So what's the plan?"

Rafael and Landon take the crossbow out my hands and look back at the group. Everyone leaves.

"You're not going." Rafael looks at Landon to explain why. I cross my arms and raise my eyebrow because there has been no action this past month and I'm ready for some fun.

"We can't risk losing you, so we're asking you to stay put." Landon looks at Rafael and they both turn to leave. I'm standing in the middle of the gym floor stammering over my words.

Of course I'm not staying here, but if they think I am than they'll leave. All I have to do is wait it out.

The group is outside fighting the monster it attacks them when they least expect it. Everyone splits up and runs away which allows me to jump through the window without them noticing.

I'm walking slowly through the woods having my hands ready for a fight when I hear Rafael's voice.

"Alexa!" He tries to run up to me, but Cupid shoots his arrow at his heart. Rafael becomes scared and reaches for his chest as he falls down.

Landon runs up to us and the monster aims its arrow at his heart too. Both of them fall right next to each other. Everything happens so quick it seems like it's in slow motion. I'm running up to them yelling and crying. The monster flys away leaving me in between my brothers.

Everyone finds us and is looking at us shocked. The blood of both of my brothers covers my hands. They both look at each other and give me a small smile.

"I love you." Both of them say in unison. "I love you too."

Landon extends his hand with Rafael following suit, so I grab their hands. They squeeze both of my hand and I look at them as they close their eyes.

"No. No. That was supposed to be not them. If I had listened to them. Tell me that Landon can come back. He's a Phoenix right?!"

Alaric walks up to me slowly handing me a piece of paper. "We tried to have a plan that sacrificed Landon as a distraction, but Dorian gave us this. The Cupid's arrow is one of the rare things that can make a Phoenix stay dead."

Hope tries to hug me, but I stand up. "This was the trap from my spell that made me normal. It didn't come a day after it came a month after. It's all my fault." I slowly walk away. The best thing for me to do right now is get up and leave. Seeing them laying on the ground is too much for me. I'll never see them again and I have to live with that forever.

Inside of my room, the smell of when they were in here is strong in here. Pictures of us hanging on my walls and sit on my dressers. Earlier when Landon told me to fix my bed, I said no. Rafael offered to change my room around, I said no.

A note sits on my bed. It's from my brothers as a thank you for being their sister. The pain consumes to the point of feeling suffocated.

Hope puts a hand to my shoulder and kneels on the floor. "How can I help, Alexa? I'll do anything."

That's the thing though. Nothing Hope or anyone else will do can help me. I'm alone in this guilt and pain.

"I wish I could just forget this. Wait. Hope, I can be compelled just have the twins siphon my magic making me a human."

I'm on my feet and heading out the door when Hope slams it shut. "I don't think you're thinking straight."

She's only saying that because erasing my memories would mean forgetting her and this school. She'll never see me again.

"I know this is about you not ever seeing me again, but this has to be done Hope. I can't lose you too."

Hope has a few tears in her eyes and she folds her arms not looking at me. I walk back to her and kiss her. She leans her head against mine and I whisper, "it's easier this way."

MG and everyone else sit in my room. I've already said my goodbyes to them and now it's time for me to leave.

Lizzie holds onto Josie and cries. "Where's Hope? She should be here."

I shake my head with a small smile. "No. It's okay."

MG looks me in the eyes. "Alexa, you were never at the Salvatore Boarding School. You have a small family in Mystic Falls who have cared and loved you your whole life."

His voice starts fade a little. Tears sting my eyes and from the corner of my eyes, I see everyone else crying too. Lizzie, Josie, Alaric, Jed, and even Kaleb are all shedding tears. This decision may seem selfish and inconsiderate to them. They lost Landon and Rafael too, but since I came to this school there has been nothing but pain and chaos. All I can do now is leave everyone in peace and a little Love and Pain.
