Chapter 7: Chris is back

Chris gives me this smile. He runs up to me and tries to hug me, but I punch him in the face.

Jed winces in the background.

"What was that for?"

"For just leaving me back in Paris. Now tell me how you found me." The faster I get rid of Chris, the better. Last thing I need is for him to come and mess up what I'm starting to have here.

"I don't know. I just got onto a plane and was walking around until I came here." Chris looks around. "Looks like I hit the jackpot. Let's crash here, Alexa."

Chris tried to walk into the school, but I push him back. "I'm sorry, Chris, but I can't let you go in there. Ad Somnum."

Chris falls unconscious.  He falls right into Jed's arms.

Jed and I dragged Chris to a hidden place in the school. There are several trees everywhere. "Don't worry, Alexa. No one comes over here. Not even the staff."

Jed gives Chris a confused look. "So this is the guy that you were dating? You could've did so much better."

"Jed!"

Jed throws his hands up in defense. "Hey. I'm just saying."

"What are we going to do about this?"

"We could tell Dr. Saltzman about your little friend."

I shake my head. "No way. He can't know about this. Promise me, Jed. Promise me that you won't say anything."

Jed looks me in the eyes with a serious face. "I promise. Whatever we do is going to be up to you"

"Well we are going to have wipe his memory."

Jed nods. "We can have Kaleb come do some compulsion stuff."

"Can we trust him?"

Jed gets closer to my face. "Do you trust me?"

"Yes." I roll my eyes. "Which is really annoying and crazy to me, but yeah. I do trust you."

He smiles at me. "Okay. I'll be back."

*Jed goes to get Kaleb*

I sit down next to the unconscious Chris. "This is for your own good Chris. This world is dangerous. Way more dangerous than anything we've ever faced. I'll miss you."

Jed and Kaleb comes. "Alright."

"Surgere." Chris wakes up slowly. He groans as he opens his eyes. He sees Kaleb and Jed.

"Alexa, what the hell is going on? Who are these guys?"

"Don't worry. They're here to help."

Kaleb walks up to Chris. "Aye, forget everything you've seen you got here. Forget that this place exist."

Chris looks like he's in a trans just like in Paris, but then he breaks out of it. "What?"

"What happened?" Jed quickly walks closer to Kaleb and Chris.

"I don't know. Let me try something. If that's okay with Alexa." Kaleb turns to me.

"Of course. Try everything."

Kaleb turns back around and extends his fangs. Chris tried to scream, but Kalebs coughing covers it up. "Vervain. He's on vervain."

"Jed, What's vervain?"

"A herb that weakens vampires and it keeps them out of humans head."

"What?!"

Chris tries to run, but Jed hits him with his elbow.
