Chapter 7: Chris is back

"Chris! Jed, why would you do that? Couldn't you have just grabbed him?"

"And have him yell? No way. Besides this was more fun."

Kaleb gets up from the floor. "I'm sorry guys but I can't help you."

"Kaleb." He turns around. "Please keep this a secret."

Kaleb nods and walks away, and I turn towards Jed. I bury my face in his chest. "What am I going to do? We can't tell Dr. Saltzman."

"Hey. It's what are we going to do. I'm going to help you."

It's silent for a while. "Oh wait. I remember in the grimoire Hope gave me it said something about wiping people's memory."

"Okay. I'll stay out here. You can go it."

"Alright."

*Alexa runs inside the school to her room. She grabs the book. She also goes to the kitchen to and pack Chris a lunch for the road.*

As I closed the refrigerator, Rafael and Hope stood on the other side of it. They have this creepy smile on their face.

"Raf? Hope?"

"Secrets aren't good to keep, Alexa. You should share them."

Realizing that this was Rafael and Hope, I grab a knife from the table and stab the possessed Hope. Her face becomes sad. "Alexa?"

"Hope?"

Hope's face goes back to the creepy smile. "You monster." She tries to get up, but one kick sends her back to the floor.

The possessed Rafael attacks me from behind.

"Tell me where the urn is! Now!"

"No!" The bucket full of fruits gets thrown across the room into the possessed Rafael face.

"Wow. I'm getting better at this magic stuff."

The possessed Hope attacks me and the possessed Rafael attacks. Luckily, Josie and Lizzie comes.

"Alexa!" They join hands and siphon the magic from the school.

With one hand raised they say, "Lihednat Dolchitni." The monsters start to fall to the floor, gasping for air.

Without them having to tell me, I run over to where they are. The monsters eventually fall to the floor, dead.

"Wow. That was impressive." Josie smiles at me and Lizzie flips her hair.

Alaric and the real Hope comes running in. Lizzie turns toward them. "Hey. We told you guys that we heard screaming. Where you guys?"

Hope rolls her eyes at Lizzie. "Calm down, Blondie. We were taking down our very own monster." Hope points to the hallway by the kitchen, and then turns to Alaric.

"We got to make sure no more comes back. Let's go."

Alaric, Josie, and Hope all run down the hallway. Lizzie stays watching me as I get the lunch bag filled with snacks and the book. On my way out, she steps in front of me.

"What is it, Lizzie?" Now is not the best of times for her to be prying.

"You've been gone all day. Where have you been?"

"Me and Jed are taking a walk around town."

Lizzie nods like she doesn't believe me. "Hmmmm."

"Look if you don't believe me then I can go get Jed for you. He can tell you the same thing."

"Oh no. I believe you." She moves to the side a little telling me I can leave.

"Great."

*Alexa hurries past Lizzie and out the house. She hides when she sees Rafael and Landon. The last thing she needed was another pause in her plan.*

Jed is sitting impatiently next to an awoken Chris. Chris is talking about some nonsense, and Jed is rubbing his head. Jed hurries to me when I walk up.

"Where have you been? I've had to listen to your annoying friend for the past thirty minutes."

"Sorry. I was attacked by a possessed Rafael and Hope, and Lizzie wanted to talk about my day." I look to Chris and laugh. "But it seems like you've been having fun without me."

Jed rolls his eyes. "Uh-huh. Very funny. Let's do this. It's almost dark out."

"Why the rush? You scared of the dark?"

Jed scoffs. "Please. You forget I'm a werewolf. The dark is when I'm my best self. Of course I'm always my best self, but you get my point."

"Yeah. Sure. Let's go macho man."

We walk up to Chris. He looks even more beautiful than before. The sun is shining right on his face. His brown eyes glowing.

"Alexa what are you doing with that book? Please don't tell me that's the next thing to make me unconscious. This guy's elbow caused enough damage to me."

"Relax. This isn't meant to hurt you. It's meant to help you." He gives me a confused, weird look.

Jed whispers in my ear. "You know what you're doing?"

"According to this book, all I have to do is consentrate."

Once I begin, there is a voice. "And who is this?"
