(I mean, I mentioned this in earlier chapters but sexual references ahead, be advised)

Laying in bed that night, Pavel feels like his whole body is a little loose. He whispers to Vienna in Russian and she brings herself to ask if he dreams of her. He nods, looking up at the ceiling and thinking.

"I dream of you, Vienna. I dream of being in space and having you by my side. I dream of traveling the universe and looking out at the stars every day."

She kisses his nose and he smiles at her with fondness. He puts his hand on her cheek and tells her something in soft Russian. She wishes that she understood. Pavel takes her cheek and kisses her until they both get sleepy. He swears he has never been so happy.

In the morning they're a mess of limbs and sheets but they look to one another and smile. Pavel feels a tension aching between his legs and he kisses Vienna's lips, hoping it will help. After a few minutes, he finds that it only makes it worst.

"What is it?" Vienna asks, noticing Pavel's facial expression when they stop kissing. "You look... Distracted."

"It's nothing," he says softly. "I'm just..."

"Just what?"

He finishes his thought in Russian and Vienna just ruffles his hair. She's thinking about their last morning together and how much she enjoyed it before Amahle interrupted. She cups his cheeks and starts kissing him, wondering if that's what's on his mind too. His hands are on her shoulder and her hip and he feel like he should move or do something but his nerves are clouding his thoughts and he just keeps kissing her.

Vienna stops kissing him to get up and turn their alarm off. Pavel sits up and sighs, having no interest in leaving the bed. Vienna comes back and straddles him, grinning wildly. Pavel pushes his hips up a little and Vienna lets out a soft moan. He lets his hands travel across her chest and she giggles. She's not wearing a bra under her shirt and Pavel can feel his heart race as soon as he realises. She starts rocking her hips against him and he watches the face she makes, grinning to himself.

Pavel lets his anxiety go quiet for a few minutes and flips Vienna onto her back, sucking at her neck and grinding against her. She moans his name softly and feels the same ache he does.

"Pasha," she says, running her hand down his back. "Pasha, kiss me."

He has no objections and kisses her hard and hungry. She bites at his bottom lip and it sends his head spinning. One part of him desperately wants to go further with her but the thought alone makes him just as anxious as it does excited.

"You feel it too?" She says softly. "Like a pressure down... down there..."

"I feel it too," he confirms, realising he's blushing profusely. "I woke up with it."

"Maybe we can... Do you think we should..." Vienna doesn't finished her sentence, just letting the thought fade away until they're interrupted by another noise.

"Hey, are you two decent? Can I come in?"

Pavel rolls over and pulls the blankets up over his lower half. He tells him to come in with a strong exasperation in his voice and an apologetic glance to Vienna.

"Can you please help me out?" Erik asks. He's holding a tea towel against his hand. He looks a little paler than usual and Vienna asks what happened. "I... I cut my hand when I was cooking. I'm not great with blood, I'm too frightened to look at it. Do you mind checking it over for me? I can't move the tea towel or I'll probably throw up."

Vienna nods and hops out of the bed, leaving Pavel sitting there frowning. The door shuts behind Vienna and Pavel lays back, groaning to himself. He aches and he wants Vienna to come back and finish the thought that she had before Erik interrupted. He decides to get dressed in the hopes it will help settle his mind (along with something else).

Vienna is bandaging Erik's hand when Pavel comes into the kitchen. Erik is looking away and trying to keep himself reasonably calm. Pavel just starts getting the ingredients out for his porridge and ignoring his brother.

"It's not a bad cut," Vienna says reassuringly. "It's long and just enough to make you bleed. It should clear up in a few days. I'll keep an eye on it."

"As long as I won't have to look at it," he mutters. "Thank you for fixing it for me."

Vienna kisses Pavel's cheek and tells him she's getting dressed. He just sighs as soon as she's gone. Erik checks behind him and raises an eyebrow at Vienna.

"I didn't interrupt anything this morning, did I?" Pavel glares at him and Erik wonders if his brother was actually up to something with her. "I swear I wasn't trying to be intrusive. If you want me to stay away in the mornings, I will."

"I would appreciate it," Pavel says softly, not making eye contact.

"I knew you were up to something!" Erik grins, ruffling Pavel's hair and getting swiftly pushed backwards for it. Pavel uses a few colourful swear words in telling Erik to stop teasing him and to keep his hand out of his hair.

Pavel helps Vienna with study for a few days and Erik comes and goes. Pavel always seems to be in a better mood when Erik isn't around. They seem to make a habit of drinking on Saturday nights and Vienna is more than happy just watching them get a little buzzed.

Sunday morning is always a little messy. Pavel tends to be a little hungover and Vienna is glad to just have a day where she can study a little less. Erik seems to have no issue with hangovers and Pavel complains about it when they're all sitting on the couch. The three of them are eating bacon and eggs and Erik mutters about the food in space.

"You guys will miss this in space. Replicator food isn't great. Better make the most of it while you can, hey. Especially you, Pavel."

"Wait," Vienna says, lowering her cutlery. "Why especially Pavel?"

Pavel quickly says something in Russian to Erik and Vienna understands what he says. "What don't I know, Pavel? You can't keep using Russian, I'm picking up more and more of it. What don't I know??"

Pavel is silent and looks like he's searching for words. Vienna has a slight frown and he feels far more intimidated by it then he cares to admit.

"Erik, you tell me then. What did you mean by especially Pavel?"

Erik looks to Pavel and Pavel just shakes his head at him. "Enya," Pavel says softly, standing up. "I just... I was going to tell you, but I just needed a little time first."

"Tell me what?! What's happening?"

"I'm getting put on the Enterprise," Pavel blurts, his eyes glued to the floor. "They're putting me on the Enterprise. On the bridge. I... There's a chance I might get deployed early."

"The Enterprise," Vienna repeats weakly, thinking of the fleet's newest flagship. She's heard rumours of Captain Pike and the possibility of a five year mission in deep space. She feels her head spinning and tears starting to form in her eyes. She doesn't look at either of them and just walks into her bedroom closing the door. She buries herself into the blankets and stays there, letting herself shed tears into her pillow.
