[BL] DEATHBLADE; The Emperor's Blood Pledged Shadow Guard

Chapter 52

Everyone are silent, staring wide eyes as they watch the fast movements of the Empress, dashing from every direction then arrive in front of Wang Rui Wei. They really thought that it's the Empress' lost when the Imperial Noble Consort aim her weapon towards her face and possibly ended the fight there and then. That is why they are so surprised when they didn't get to catch how the Empress manage to stand behind the Imperial Noble Consort and aim her blade near her neck, ending the fight as her victory to claim.

Wang Rui Wei slowly gaze down at the blade near her neck. its sharp edge glinted with the light as it tells her that she lose and she have to surrender. Closing her eyes with a sigh, The Imperial Noble Consort concede. "I resign."

The people immediately applaud in excitement. The snowy terrain slowly turn into smoke and the loud roar of the people slowly breach their ears in full blast.

KT Xi take the blade away then cup his fist and bow to the Imperial Noble Consort. Wang Rui Wei return the bow in a rather calm and dignified manner.

The battle ended with the empress' victory. Seeing and experiencing it herself, Wang Rui Wei is quite satisfied with the outcome; the Empress amazingly fought her with a very complicated fighting pattern that she wasn't able to know what's the techniques she is really using. She looks at the Empress who is looking to the side, I guess the Emperor wants a full package for his empress, beautiful, brain and talented. With a sigh, she address. "Your Highness. The next time that we fight–" The Empress looks at her. "-please don't hold back. I am well aware that you are wearing a heavy clothes that's why you are irritated during the fight." KT Xi's eyes widen, so the Imperial Noble consort actually knew!?

"I wasn't informed. I just learned it." She answered his unspoken question then walk pass the empress, heading into the door to exit the fighting dome. The Emperor is indeed really cunning, he agreed to this battle just to have his empress wear something that will limit her capabilities. When Rui Wei learned that her opponents was restrained, she was and still is offended by it. If the empress didn't wear that heavy load, does that mean that this fight still have the same outcome but easily won by the empress?. Rui Wei is really offended. The Emperor have his Empress wore them because he is confident enough that she'll win this. Which only means that he doesn't recognize her strength and– Rui Wei shake the thoughts away. The battle is already over, thinking about it will never change the outcome, she sincerely accept her defeat.

Standing still in the middle of the fighting dome is KT Xi who was too surprised that the Imperial Noble Consort still got the time to notice her opponents restrictions. He can't help his lips to raise a little. When he look in search for a particular someone, he suddenly felt disappointed that the emperor's not there. In the middle of applause from the people, KT Xi nod and gracefully walks to the exit. Behind the door are the three maids who are smiling widely with pride in their eyes. The Empress aka shadow guard was really amazing in there that they were holding their breath as the two fighters exchange blows after blows towards each other. The three excitedly bow to KT Xi as they congratulate him eagerly. "Your Highness. We congratulate you for your victory!" And for winning the Emperor to yourself!  KT Xi smile a little and proceed towards his changing room. His eunuchs, guards and servants are left by the door as the Empress enters followed closely by the three trusted maids inside the changing room.

The shadow guard casually untied the knots of his clothes and let the burden he has been carrying to drop into the floor, leaving his white and thin inner garments as his last cover for his body. When he look behind him to ask for a little assistance from the three, all he saw is the retreating backs of the maids -exiting the room like their butts are on fire, leaving him baffled and confused. I'm just changing! They already saw me changing before, why being shy now? 

With a sigh, he look back to find a change of clothes by himself. Standing before him however, cause him to froze and rethink why the three leaves him alone with the man by themselves.

The Emperor is casually seating on the couch with KT Xi's change of clothes just beside him.

The shadow guard slowly gaze down to his own body, he is currently wearing a very thin peace of clothing that seems to hide nothing to the eyes of anyone who wants to look pass it. KT Xi then eyed the clothes near the Emperor, if he wants to change here and now, he have to walk near the Emperor and take it by force(?).

Gao Xue Long have been waiting for the shadow guard to come -in this room right after the fight declared his victory. So when the subject of his objectives is here -frozen on his spot, with his eyes staring pointedly at the clothes just by his side. His lips couldn't help but raised on their own accord.

"Come here." He said. KT Xi seems to snap out of it as his gaze shifted to the Emperor. Without questioning the Emperor, KT Xi took a few steps forward, but still not enough. Cocking his head to the side, the emperor motioned him closer.

Although he is bewildered, the shadow guard still steps a bit closer till he's in front of the emperor.

Gao Xue Long smile a little in satisfaction. He reach for KT Xi's hand then suddenly tug him closer -causing the shadow guard to sat on his lap and straddle him.

KT Xi's heart leap into his throat as his body went stiff, his eyes are wide and his mouth slight open; staring straight to the Emperor's cunning dark eyes. KT Xi hurriedly tries to stand up, but he was stopped by the Emperor's hand which circle around his waist and lock him in place. He is unable to move due to the gentle yet firm hold of the Emperor around him. He don't know what to do, both of his hands could only rest at the Emperor's chest as the two of them stare into each others eyes.

The Emperor glance at KT Xi's ears, yes it is once again red as usual, and it is slowly spreading into his cheeks.

And so, serve before the emperor is a fresh red tomato for... Ahem.

The Emperor chuckle. "Sometimes... You and I should stop our formality." He said as his dark eyes connected with KT Xi. The latter averted his line of sight and look pass the emperor's face, staring intensely behind his back.

KT Xi is quite uncomfortable with their closeness. He shifted a bit and reply with his unfazed tone as he could get. "Your majesty, I think it's quite inappropriate for this guard's part... to do as your order."

Gao Xue Long raise an eyebrow. "Hmm, It won't be if we are alone." He said with a smirk, then add. "I've always been calling you by your real name, so you should too." With that, his hold on KT Xi's waist tightens.

The shadow guard glance down to the arm wrapping around his waist, and reply politely. "That too-" His gaze raise and connected with the emperor "-please call me by my code, Your majesty." He said, slowly regaining his calm. "It's KT Xi." He added as he bow respectfully, then look back to the emperor's eyes.

The way the emperor looks at him however, made KT Xi wanted to take back what he said. He suddenly have a bad feeling about it. The way the Emperor's dark eyes glinted with mischief. He knows he is screwed "I understand, Kitty Xi then."

KT Xi blankly stare at the emperor as he thought to himself. Why does it sounds so wrong with the way that the Emperor pronounced it?
