Chapter 24

I'm so in a hurry so expect....
A beautiful sound of chimes ring around the the pavilion, a warm scent of tea which is carried by the gentle caress of wind spread around the place. In this serene circumstance, three people seated around the round table would occasionally spoke about any insignificant subject. The only man of the group -which is Emperor Xue Long once in a while would interact with the his lovely mother and wise Grandmother.

When KT Xi arrive at the location, the scene of the gentle and warm smiles of the Empresses greeted his approach.

Like a gentleman that he is, the emperor stand from his seat and come up to where his Empress is. KT Xi -who is only four inches shorter than the emperor bravely look up, his deadpan eyes meet the ice cold eyes of the Emperor. They stand only a feet near each other and stare like a there's no tomorrow at all.

Seeing this intimate scene, the Mother Empress and Empress Dowager exchanges a knowing looks before they gently cough to gain the attention of the two people.

The two then snap out from their starring contest, KT Xi quickly bow down to the ladies and pay his respect, "KT– Yin Xi Greets Mother Empress and Grandmother Empress"

The two smile with a graceful nod.

KT Xi turn to the emperor and repeat "Yin Xi pay his respect to His Highness Emperor"

Gao Xue Long didn't reply for a long time causing the Empresses to frown, but before they could speak, the Emperor beat them to it "Rise," He said then snake his arm around the stiff shadow guard to guide him to his seat. The gestures of the Emperor is very intimate, he let KT Xi sat first before he follow after and seated beside his wife.

The Shadow guard didn't know if the emperor is showing a pretence act towards him in front of the two ladies or he is being seriou... No, this is an act, this also one of the best way to lure those assassins to him. He don't know how long he will pretend like a happy couple with the emperor in front of the Empresses, but this solid resolution that he have in the sense that this is his mission is very strong, like what the Emperor repeatedly remind him, he knows what to do.

And so he won't mind all the touches and gestures of the emperor,

The shadow guard didn't know since when did he became flustered at the moment, all he knows is that he is too uncomfortable.

"Have tea" The Emperor suddenly cut off the shadow guard's frustrated thought,

Gao Xue Long pass the cup to KT Xi and the later accepted it with care.

Dissatisfied, the Emperor lean close to the shadow guard's ear letting his breath caress KT Xi's cheek and whisper "Smile and follow my lead"

All of a sudden, the shadow guard felt his cheeks become hot. Honestly, he is trained to relay a message through whispering, but those are serious matter. Well, the Emperor's whisper will also be a serious matter. But there is just something the way the emperor do it that makes you feel really uncomfortable.

The Emperor lean back then casually sip his tea.

Smile and follow my lead...

The words repeatedly run around the shadow guard's thought. If he have to do what the emperor said to follow,which is surely to act intimate with each other, then KT Xi have no choice.

They are a shadow guard of the emperor, normally, if the emperor is in a location where they won't be able to hide, they would blend in with the people, so KT Xi have a talent of acting as well.

When the Empress dowager saw the whispering, she assuredly smile and sip her tea while observing the beautiful wife of his ice cube of a grandson. She really thought that she won't be seeing the man getting that close with any women.

Suddenly, Empress Yin Xi's unchanging deadpan expression was change into something shocking (for them that is). She smiles sweetly to the Emperor and also drink her tea. After she place it back in the table, she initiated the conversation herself.

"How is Grandmother Empress' health?" She turn to the oldest woman in the group,

The old lady is very satisfied with her daughter in law, she nod for her great mother instinct and answer "oh dear I am well, however... " The mischievous old woman feign a hurt tone on her voice "I am becoming old, the age of this woman have already passed its due date. I am just wondering, when will I be able hold the future heir of our empire?"

KT Xi -who is smiling so sweetly to the Empress couldn't help his lips to twitch, how is he going to answer that!!!

Before he could answer though, the Emperor beat him to it "Soon Grandmother"

Care to repeat that?

Hearing it, the Empress dowager clap her hand as she exclaim "Wonderful!" She turn to the Mother Empress and said excitedly  "We have to ask the celestial guardian for a date"

KT Xi's brain is slowly overheating. what... Huh???

"Aha!" Gone was the graceful Empress dowager as her playful personality resurfaces "Gao Xue Long" She turn to the Emperor and became serious, her tone is very firm as her delicate brows are furrowed "I as your Grandmother request to you that in two months. I have a news of an heir for our empire"
