   Cold. Calculated. Powerful. A leader. An unwavering picture of confidence.

   This was how he was taught to be.

   Years of abuse, constant sorrow, alcohol, weapons, and anxiety made most of his younger life a blur.

   Pain is not a stranger to the man of steel. What could be described as almost a friend to him, if not for the sorrow it brung.

   Then a light in a darkness.

   Then another, and another.

   Pepper, Harley, Morgan, Peter. All of them seemed to light up the dark place which he called his heart.
