Shivaay had sent a couple of his staff  yesterday to bring back Gauri's stuff from Dandi, who was in Khandala this week, once she returned to the Oberoi mansion yesterday. A staff member informed Gauri, that he had got back her luggage and it was in Omkara sir's room.

Gauri sighed. Between Dadi and the staff in this mansion, she would not be allowed to forget that she got "married" to Omkaraji. But she was being too harsh on the staff; they were just doing the job, it wasn't their fault that they assumed that she was still married to him. They hardly knew of the intricacies of their master's life.

Gauri hoped that Omkaraji won't be there when she goes to take her stuff, and keep it elsewhere. Where though? Maybe she can shift it to some guest room? In any case, better to get it out of there. She peeped into the room to see if he was inside, but the room was empty.

Gauri sneaked in, located her stuff, and was about to leave with it, when she saw someone blocking the way. Omkaraji.

"Gauri?" he asked.

"Woh (Er)....the staff...they brought back my bag from Dandi bhaiyaa....but they kept it here....so I came to take it.....and.." Gauri felt extremely awkward.

"But you can stay here, in this room as well" said Omkara.

Gauri gave him a searching look.

What was wrong with him? It was two months since Gauri had signed those papers and left it in his room, after that Sangeet. For all effective purposes that chapter was closed. She might have returned for a while to help Annika Jiji and Bade bhaiyaa, but she departed swiftly to return to live with Dandi bhaiyaa. Why would Omkaraji suggest that she stay in his room?

"Why?" asked Gauri furrowing her eyebrows

"Because....." Omkara of course, realized how stupid his words were.

There was no relationship so to speak of, between them. Why would Gauri stay with him?

Gauri made a move to leave, but Omkara had something more to say.

"Gauri, you should know....I don't want you to think that I painted all those paintings so that you would be lured back to Mumbai for Annika bhaabhi. I did them for myself, for you, because I wanted you to come back.....for me" said Omkara, in one breadth, as if saying it quickly gave him more strength to confess it.

"Why? You said you didn't have any place for me in your life, then why did you want me to come back?" asked Gauri, hoping against hope that Omkaraji would give her a straight answer.

Omkara willed Gauri to understand what he wanted to say, from his eyes. Gauri's question was simple, but the answer was complicated....

Omkara was always unsure of himself, he remembered his previous relationship with Riddhima, he was with her for years, and yet he never felt that close to her emotionally as he did with Gauri, but also, if he couldn't commit to her fully and asked her to move in instead of marrying him, then what will he answer Gauri?

Omkara's greatest fear was that his marriage would turn out like his parents, what if he is betrayed like his mother? He remembered how many times Gauri lied to him. But no, Gauri wasn't like his father. It was he himself, Omkara who feared that he might become like his father. He and Gauri weren't even in a defined relationship and he had already hurt her so many times....if they did come close what's the guarantee that he wouldn't hurt her more.
