Gauri woke up with a feeling of anticipation. She didn't feel any anxiety or even fear, that Jahnvi felt at her plan. Gauri cared more for her plan to succeed than anything else. That had always been like her, if she was focused on achieving something, she subconsciously pushed the consequences of that act to the back of her brain. In any case, Gauri didn't feel she was in any particular danger, if everything went according to plan.

Omkara woke up to Gauri's prayers as was the usual case these days. He had stopped complaining about the incessant ringing of the bell affecting his sleep; there was no point, because when has she listened to him? Secretly, Omkara admitted to himself that he loved listening to her soulful voice, it was just the bell that annoyed him!

Today, there was a look of determination on her face, as if she was seeking blessings from God, before heading out to war. Maybe this is how medieval warriors looked when they went to war, defending their states: fierce, confident. Why though? What war was she waging? Unless they had got some heavy order at the shop where she worked, and she had to stitch clothes for all the idols in Mumbai. Not that Omkara looked down upon anyone's work. Work is work, and for Gauri it was worship. Omkara wished he felt that towards his current work. He groaned at the thought of those files piled up for him at his office.

Gauri finished her prayers, and turned towards Omkara at the sound of his groan.

"Bas ho gaya hamaara. Aur aapko pareshaan nahi karenge" (Yes, I'm done. I won't disturb you anymore) said Gauri in a huff, as she picked up her bag and left the room.

Great! She thinks I was groaning at her praying, thought Omkara, slapping his hand to his head.

But why it sound so ominous when she talked about never disturbing his sleep again? Like she was talking about it with a sense of finality? Omkara felt uneasy, what is up with her today?

Gauri had received the message while she was busy stitching away. She smiled as she saw it. Ah! so half of her plan worked. Tej uncleji did his part of the job, now it was her turn. She wrapped her work quickly, and got off free early evening.

As decided before, Jahnvi had sent her an Oberoi car to drop her to her destination. As Gauri got into the car, her phone was buzzing. It was Jahnvi auntyji.

"Gauri beta, please think again. Are you sure you want to go there? And what happens after? This plan is not foolproof? What if something goes wrong?" she sounded extremely worried.

"Auntyji, I'm already in the car, and on the way there. We have got this opportunity, things seem to be working in our favor. Lets try, and pray for the best" replied Gauri. She disconnected the phone, she didn't want any second thoughts about what she was attempting.

Gauri, herself, wasn't very worried, but Jahnvi's constant worry from the beginning had managed to create a little worry in her heart as well. But as always, Gauri had full faith in her Shankarji to see her through safely.

The car stopped after a while, as they reached the house. Gauri got down from the car, and told the driver to park a little away on the opposite side of the road. The driver nodded his head.

Gauri climbed the stairs to the second floor of the apartment building. The building looked like it housed some swanky flats. She rang the bell of the house, and put on her intimidated face.

"I was waiting for you" said Svetlana, as she opened the door.

Gauri looked shiftily in both directions, before entering the flat.
