Hidan's Little Sister, Neji's Lover [ON HOLD]

The Note

~Neji's POV~

I watch Misaki leave, i guess going home. I slip the note into my pocket walking back to the Hyuga compound. 'I wonder what the note says?' I took my time getting home since there was no rush to read the note. Once i got there, I went straight to my room.

Slipping out the folded paper from my pocket, i unfolded it. "What could possibly be so important for her not to tell me herself?" I mumbled, starting to read the note.

Dear Neji, I've been on this team with you for a few years now. More the time i'm with you on this team, the more i admire you. It's why I can't never keep my mind off of you. I think i'm starting to grow feelings for you. Feelings that are slowly growing inside me for you, I thought i should have told you sooner than wait till the last minute.

                                  Even if you don't feel the same way as I do for you, i still thought i should tell you how i felt anyway. I think you get where i'm coming from and what i mean, Right Neji kun?...

My eyes widen as i finished the note. 'S-She really felt this way?... Misaki was right..' I balled up the note, throwing it away. 'I don't feel the same way she feels about me. I only see her as a friend nothing more' I said mentally.

I changed into my genin clothing, walking to TenTen's place. I needed to talk to her about this Face To Face. I knocked on her door, waiting for her to answer. She opened the door with an surprise look. "Neji kun? What brings you here?" She asked, with an questioning look.

"May I come in?" I asked, ignoring her question. She opened the door wider, letting me in. I sat on her couch, waiting for her to get settled. She sat down next to me, wanting me to answer. "That note... Do you really feel that way about me?" I asked, looking at her.

"W-What do you mean? What note?" She asked confused. 'Hmph, she's trying to act all hard now?' "TenTen.. Do you.. Love me?" I asked, getting straight to the point, not taking my eyes off her. Her cheeks flushed a million shades of red, if that's possible.

She waved her hands in front of her, stuttering. "N-No! I don't! I never w-wrote a note!" She blushed more, making her whole face turn red. I raised an eyebrow. "Is that so?.. Then who else would have wrote it?" I asked.

She stopped with her excitement actions, thinking. She frowned. "MISAKI!" She growled standing up. "Misaki! This is Misaki's doing! I'd never do such a thing!" She yelled. "I believe you. Just stop with the yelling" I covered my ears.

"G-Gomenasai" She apologized. I nodded, getting up leaving her house. 'If TenTen says she didn't do it.. It's Misaki for sure'. I run towards Misaki house. To my luck she was just leaving. "Misaki!" I called out to her. She looked at me with wide eyes trying to run. Before she could get far i grabbed her by her arm.

"Misaki. That note you gave me.. It was from you wasn't it?!" I asked, calmly. She blushed looking down. "N-Neji I... I'm in love with  you" She murmured loud enough for me to hear. I grunted, along with my eyes going wide. What I heard made my heart beat fast.

'No way... Misaki.. Loves me?' was all that repeated in my mind. I was speechless. I felt my cheeks heat up. I knew I was blushing hard. I let go her arm, letting mines fall limp to my side. We both stood there in awkward silence, letting nothing but the wind to be heard.

I felt arms wrap around my waist. I look down to see Misaki burried into my chest. 'What do I do?' I thought for a while. I hesitated at first, before slowly wrapping my arms around her. 'Why did I...? What is this feeling in my chest and stomach? Could it be.. Love?'

Misaki.. My former teammate i've known for years.. Loves.. Me? I felt a smile creep on my face. I tighten my hold around her, but not to tight to the point it hurt her. I wanted to stay like this forever. I never felt so...

Secure.

Comfortable.

Loved.

Misaki then pulled back, smiling. "W-What is it?" I asked clueless. She giggled. "No, it's nothing.. I should get going.. I have to drop these flowers off to Lee kun" She says, showing me a bouquet of flowers. I nod, letting her leave.

She gave me once last smile, grinning, before running off. "Hmph" I smirk, shoving my hands in my pocket. "So you like me after all, Misaki?.." I stated to no one in particular. 'Do I.. Feel the same way for her is the real deal..'
