Misaki Makes A Move

Yesterday turned out pretty well. Me and Neji went to Ichiraku's ramen and ate, and paid for us. Hmm, but the surprising part... He took me out to an all you can eat buffet and paid for that too.

 We didn't eat in silence either.. Neji was a little more open to me than usual. After our 'Hang Out' or if you saw it from my point of view I'd say date.. But anyway! He walked me home. I walked around the village with my hands behind my head, looking for something to do.

"I wonder if we have a mission today.. That would be awesome.. Maybe an B ranked mission! That'd be good!" I grinned, 2 seconds later.. All that excitement went away. "That's right.. We don't have a Hokage at the moment.. I wonder would the other nations take the advantage attacking us?" I murmured, thinking of all the worst things that could happen.

Naruto I heard is going off with a sannin, TenTen is probably playing with her weapons, Lee is in the hospital, Sakura... Who knows. She may have went to stalk Sasuke.. Wait.. Kuso!! What does that leave me to do?! Hmm maybe I could go see what Neji is doing?

"Wow, I'm really stuck up on hanging out with Neji a lot now.." I stated walking to the Hyūga compound. Once I got there I seen Neji and Hinata sitting by the hallway wall. Must've been training. Right when I was gonna turn around they both look at me. "K-Konnichiwa Misaki chan" Hinata greeted me politely.

"U-Uh g-gomenasai! I didn't know you were in the middle of something!" I wave my hands around nervously, apologizing. Neji chuckles getting up. "Is there something you need, Misaki?" Neji asked, crossing his arms smirking.

My heart begins to beat fast. I put my hands behind my back, aggressively rubbing my fingers. I look at Neji, trying to make up a lie without being noticed. "Gai sensei wants to see you at training" I lied. Neji raised an eyebrow unfolding his arms.

"Ah, I'll be leaving Hinata" Neji says before walking alongside with me. I gulped, not knowing how I was gonna pull this lie off. Gai sensei was actually with Kaka sensei. I took deep breaths trying to calm down my pulse.

I heard Neji hmph'ed. I looked over at him, getting nervous again. "What?!" I asked and sort of yelled at the same time out of frustration. Neji looked at me, chuckling. I thought it was cute. "You're a horrible liar, Misaki chan" Neji replied putting his hands in his pocket.

"How did you..?" I trailed off. "I know you very well by now, Misaki. For one, when you lie or nervous. You tend to rub your fingers aggressively. Another thing. The way you looked at me told me you were lying. You basically gave yourself away" Neji smirked.

"Tch" I spat, annoyed at how easy I was read by him. "What did you really want me for?" Neji asked looking up at the sky. I looked over at him not saying anything. I averted my gaze from him looking at the villagers help rebuild destruct buildings.

I saw an old lady, struggling to lift some wood. I ran over to her side, giving her a warm smile. "Matte ma'am! Let me help you with this" I insisted, taking the wood from her. She smiled bowing at me. "Arigato you wonderful kunoichi" she thanked. I giggled nodding, putting it over where a pile of wood was at.

At least.. I'm sure that's where it was suppose to go. I walked over to Neji who was watching me the whole time. We started walking again and I never answered his question. "Neji.. What do you think our knew Hokage is going to be like? I know Naruto and a sannin are going to search for one.. But what if it's a woman this time?" I asked smiling at the thought of a woman running the village.

"I don't know. We will only find out when the time comes" he replied. I scoffed, smirking. I bumped my shoulder against his playfully. "Do you always have to talk so.. Like a smart ass?" I insulted, well I thought would be an insult.. Well to him he takes it as a compliment. (-_-)

"Oh? Well yes I do" Neji smiled. "Haha very funny! Ramen shop! Let's go eat!!" I fist pump the air, grabbing Neji's hand, running towards Ichiraku's ramen shop. We both took a seat and Teuchi came to us. "How may I help you Misaki.. And..?"

"Neji" Neji finished his sentence for him. "Oho right! I haven't see you around here a lot unless you're with Misaki!" Teuchi raised his finger in the air, now noticing. Neji sighed. "Miso ramen for the both of us, Teuchi!" I say, grinning widely. "Comin' right up! Ayame!! Get ready to prepare the best ramen you've ever cooked! I see a couple here!" Teuchi yelled.

"Nani?" me and Neji say at the same time, confused. "Oii! Teuchi San! Ramen! Ramen! Ramen!" Naruto sung taking a seat next to me. "Ah! Hey there Misaki chan!" Naruto smiled. He then look past me at Neji.

Naruto grunted, taking a good look. "N-Neji?... Oi!" Naruto shouted, standing up pointing at him."How come every time I come here and Misaki is here you're with her?!.. Could it be..." Naruto gasped, his eyes going wide. "You two are dating!" Naruto assumed.

"NO WAY!" I yelled punching Naruto on top of his head. "Don't think such things, Baka!" Neji hissed at him, choking on his ramen that was now delivered. "M-M-Misaki.. You didn't have to hit me.." Naruto stuttered, rubbing his head. I giggled waving him off.

"Sorry, Naruto kun" I sat down, eating my noodles, blushing lightly.  "Ne, but what made you think such a thing that me and Neji would date?! I hate him!" I lied, eating my ramen. "Hmm i guess so dattebayo" Naruto mumbled, eating his ramen.

"Say, Naruto. I thought you were getting ready to head off with a Sannin" I spoke, looking over at him. He finished slurping down his ramen, rubbing his belly. "That's right! I stopped here first to eat.. Then i'll be on my way-ttebayo!" Naruto grinned.

"I see.." I trailed off, finishing my ramen last. "Well, see you later Naruto kun!" I wave at him, leaving money next to Naruto, leaving Neji behind. Neji then came along walking next to me. "Misaki. You still haven't answered my question. What did you really need me for?" He asked once more.

"Heeh, honestly I just wanted to see how you were doing. No apparent reason" I answered. "Neji... TenTen wanted me to tell you something.." I trailed off, looking at the sky. "What is it?" He asked. I stop walking, letting the wind sweep across my face, blowing my hair back.

'Where did that sudden breeze come? And why at this moment?'

I pull out a note from my pocket, handing it to him. "I haven't read it so I don't know what she said..."  "But after you read it.. Can you tell me?!" I pleaded, interlocking my fingers together, looking at him with puppy eyes, smiling.

Neji, looked at me clueless, nodding. "Arigato Neji kun! If there's anything in there about me.. Tell me so I can plan her funeral!" I yell, walking off. But little did Neji know.. That note wasn't from TenTen.
