"I ain't like them other n*ggas
And I ain't 'bout to play no games with you
You know what your problem is?
You don't ever see the big picture
Oh wee, I want you to take me serious
Oh baby, I want you to take me serious."

I kept checking my phone as I sprayed on some cologne. I've been waiting for Maia to call me since the last time we encountered each other. If it was some other girl, I would have moved on, but something's telling me to be patient. Kobe must have seen what I was doing to make him ask me a question.

"Why you so fixed on that chick?"

"Yeah, she seems stuck up." Kareem added.

Follower.

"Nah, she ain't like that." I defended her.

"You don't even know anything about her." He pointed out the obvious.

"She is fine though. Did you see that behind?" Kobe asked.

"Man, did you see those—." I quickly shut Kareem
down.

"Aye, cut it out."

"Cut it, cut it, cut it, cut it." Kobe started rapping. I can't stand these fools.

"Cut it, cut it, cut it, cut it." Kareem followed.

"Them bricks is way too hot, you need to cut it."

"Your price is way too high, you need to cut it."

"Let's get out of here. Where is B at anyway?" I stopped them from giving me a migraine. We were at Kobe's house where he lives with his girl Benita.

"You just realized her crazy *ss isn't here? She's at work." He replied.

"Her whereabouts aren't really my concern. She's your girl, not mine."

"But you love when she gives you food." Kareem pointed out.

"She's the closest person we have to Momma in that area." I shrugged.

"You need to get a girl."

"That's what I'm trying to do. You shouldn't even be talking; you don't even have one."

"But I can cook."

"Every time we come to your place, all you have is stir fry."

"Y'all still eat it."

"So we don't hurt your feelings." I said as we walked out the door.

"What?" He stopped in his tracks and looked at us in shock.

"We need to go before we miss the movie." I uttered, pushing him to the car. I already know I'm going to hear once we enter it.

As I parked in a spot that wasn't too far from the theater and in the shade so the car wouldn't get too hot, I could see that it was packed. I hope that there are still tickets despite us arriving 20 minutes before the start time.
