They were told it was routine. Seventeen teenagers from seven countries. Different cities, different lives, one needle, administered in the kind of clean, credentialed clinic that governments endorsed and parents trusted. They went home. They went to sleep. They woke up different. Myra Sanches was never supposed to be at the center of anything. Seventeen, sharp-tongued, and quietly devastating to anyone who underestimated her, she had already lost more than most people lose in a lifetime when the wrong door opened, and she walked through it. What happened to her body after the injection was not a gift. It was not a blessing. It was evidence of a plan that predated her by more than a decade, of a corporation that decided what she was for before she was old enough to decide anything for herself, of a facility beneath a building that did not appear on any public record, where teenagers from six other countries were waiting. The lights were always on, and no one was coming. No one, that is, except them. The Onyx Project is a dark, character-driven sci-fi novel about identity, power, and what it means to be called a weapon when all you have ever wanted is to be a person. It does not flinch from its casualties. It does not promise that survival means safety. It is told across five parts, in a building with no windows, by people who found their way out of it anyway. No one is coming to save them. So they will have to save themselves. ©️ _RelleLebby_// R. L.

A Fire Nation prince driven by obsession to capture the Avatar crosses paths with a girl who should not exist in his world-Zola, a silent forest-raised survivor who communicates without words and lives beside a rare snow leopard-wolf named Kairo. She is not part of his mission. She is not part of his plan. But she becomes impossible to ignore. As Zuko and Iroh reluctantly allow her into their journey, Zola slowly reshapes the way they see the world-through instinct, emotion, and a kind of honesty Zuko has never known. Yet even as connection grows, Zuko remains bound to a destiny that pulls him away from her. What begins in silence becomes a story of distance, change, and the kind of bond that survives even when people don't. Because some things are never spoken. They are only felt-long after the fire fades.

Here's something that we must address: Wattpad needs more melanin. Ever since a young, middle school, age; drooling over the British boys of one direction and dreaming for the day I meet them, I'd read stories here on Wattpad, hoping to fill this deep desire with the imagination of others. However, I could never actually relate to anything these stories would say. Things like how Liam "grazed his fingertips over her blonde, straight, hair," or, "he looks at her ocean blue eyes filled with wonder." It was always Claire, a skinny girl with light colored eyes that always seemed to resemble something bright and eccentric. Perfect was her middle name and flaws? There were none. Let's face it: we're white washing everything in our books, and, well, we need a little 'pop' of color. So after reading 4 different Character Idea books-all in which included beautiful people of Caucasian backgrounds, I decided to make a Character Idea book of my own: Melanin Edition. I'm not exactly saying that having characters of the white descent is a bad thing, but it's also not bad to add a bit more melanin. So with that said, here's to all the Asians, Hispanics, African Americans, Indians, Native Americans, even those who are a mix of one of these and more; of all shapes and sizes, sexual orientations, and backgrounds; Imperfections, and flaws, with more juice to love-this is all for you. Stay poppin my friends 🍒
