Chapter 16

(Luca's P.O.V.)

As soon as they entered the underground Polka managed to find Sanora and Sanata, they both nearly were in tears when they saw that she was okay. They both hugged her tightly and started crying, telling her that they will never try and leave her again. I was honestly a bit jealous since I never had anyone important do that to me...but I honestly don't think anyone would ever do that...but that all changed when the door opened I get tackled into a huge hug by a certain black red striped hedgehog.

"THANK GOD YOUR ALRIGHT?! DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW FREAKED OUT WE WERE WHEN WE FOUND OUT YOU WENT OUT THERE WITH GATO BY YOURSELF?!"

"Shadow let the poor boy go! Are you trying to choke him?!" Rouge flies towards us and pulls Shadow away from me, I coughed and took in as much as air as I could and looked at Shadow and laughed a bit nervously.

"Sorry you two, but I had to get Polka back here for the others, besides she's needed here right now." I see the Ebony hedgehog sigh deeply while shaking his head then sees him smile at me just a tiny bit, it was a bit rare for him to smile so it kind of surprised me a little bit.

"I suppose your right about that, its a bit relieving that she's safe. though I was just a bit worried about about you to be honest."

'Oh really? I hadn't noticed.' I said in my head, not wanting to get blasted by his gun. I nodded my head anyways and then look over to where Polka was, she was now talking to Sanata and Sanora, who were telling her everything and how much they know about her.

Again, I felt the same feeling of jealousy.

I shake my head and then saw Shadow look at me worry, making me quickly smile at him gently.

"Is something wrong Shadow?" He sighs and was about to say something but the next thing I knew, I see Sonic enter the room, making me freeze when he saw me. I get tackled into a tight hug and yelp in surprise.

"THANK GOD YOUR OKAY!!"

And with this, I knew that I was gonna have a ton of explaining to do with the others.

(*Timeskip after the explaining.*)

Once I was done explaining to the sonic group why I had ran off with Gato on my own they all started to scold me. They had the right too since I never told them about the plan, but I knew that they were struggling because of other things so since they were so distracted I took the chance and went off with Gato to go and get Polka. Right now Polka was talking with Fell at the moment, I was now sitting on the couch as I get lost in thought, thinking about things. I then decided that I needed to get some sleep so I layed down on the couch and closed my eyes and fell asleep.

*In dream*

I woke up in a strange forest that appeared to be new Mobotropolis. Right now it was night and it felt a bit cold, I walked around and noticed that no one was around. It was almost as if the town was abandoned. I felt a bit nervous being around here for some reason, and I don't like the feeling one bit at all. I sighed quietly and continue to walk until suddenly I heard a mad giggle, making me freeze, it came from behind me. I turned around but when I did, I saw no one there. I bite my lower lip as my eyes narrowed but then turned around and continued to look around until suddenly, I saw a gold colored hedgehog with peach skin that has a slight golden hue. Additionally, his eyes are ruby red and spiraling around and his quills turn upward. His middle back quill varies in position though. What surprised me more was that he possesses a golden aura, I'm not sure how I can tell he has one but I guess it was because of the cross crystal that was around my neck was glowing the same color as the aura he has. But what scared me was that he was right in front of me, and he looked just liked Sonic too! I felt myself tremble in fear, making the hedgehog chuckle in amusement and felt him stroke my cheek with the back of his hand, I couldn't help but blush badly because his hand felt very warm. The hedgehog looked surprised on how I reacted to his touch but smirks at me as he wrapped his free arm around my waist.

"Well well well, what do we have here~? Such a long time since I seen such a cute little human~" He snickers a little as he rest his forehead against his and blushes more. My heart raced as his swirling hypnotic eyes stared into my half hidden ruby red ones.

"W...Who a-are you..?" I stuttered out in fear as I looked at him, I see him make a toothy smirk that showed his pearly sharp white teeth and sees him pull away from him and gently take a lock of my hair in his hand.

"I'm Fleetway, a certain form that's suppose to be connected to the blue hedgehog known as the "Hero of Mobius"." He quotes the Hero of mobius with his fingers by using his free hand with an annoyed look on his face but then see him smirk down at me again and feels him gently kiss the lock of my hair, making me blush like crazy.

"I never did think that the blue blur would find such an adorable little human like you~ I might as well try to take you for myself and never let anyone touch you again~" That made my face turn more red. I see him lean close to me slowly, my heart starts racing really fast, so quickly I tried to push him away but his free hand stopped me, making me yelp in surprise. Suddenly I felt him kiss me deeply, making my eyes go wide in shock, my face turns even more red and my heart starts pounding against my chest. I soon felt both his arms wrap around me as my hands get placed against his chest. I couldn't help but slowly close my eyes and kiss him back and moan softly against him and suddenly he pulled away and I feel him gently kiss my neck, making me moan softly. I feel him smirk when he heard me moan and I feel him gently pick me up and feel him whisper in my ear lowly.

"Your mine~ No one else will have you but me~"

I blushed darkly at the words he had said and I snuggled into him and I smile a little, I don't know why I felt so...safe...I should be feeling scared, I should be attacking him! And yet I wasn't...I just...stayed in his arms, and let him hold me close and let him kiss my head gently. I almost felt as if everything was perfect, and that no one could ever hurt me again, as long as this Fleetway person stays with me forever and ever. I stay near him and made sure I didn't move a single bit and suddenly I feel Fleetway fly up in the air and see him gently place me down on something soft. I snuggle into the soft feeling and felt Fleetway gently lay down beside me and I felt him gently kiss my head gently, making me smile more.

"I'll always protect you, no matter what....anyone who tries to hurt you or touch you, or even try to call you a freak....they will pay dearly for trying to hurt what's mine~" He said to me in a soothing voice, but slowly started to fade away. I didn't want to leave him yet, he noticed me trying to fight the sleeping feeling, making him chuckle and kiss my head softly.

"Don't worry....you'll be seeing me again soon....but next time when you go to sleep, someone else will take my place.....so there may be a chance I may not see you....so this is goodbye for now, my little light," I hear him say as he hold me close. "now sleep, you have a big day tomorrow."

I then gently closed my eyes, before I could open my eyes I felt his soft lips against mine.

*In reality*

When I opened my eyes I was back in the living room. I noticed that there were covers over me, making me blink in surprise.

'Did someone see me fall asleep and place this blanket over me?' I thought then realized that it was a dumb question. Besides, why wouldn't anyone do that to someone who had fallen asleep? I wasn't even sure how to answer that question myself anymore. But in any case, he slowly gets up and decides to get something to eat but stops when he sees that there was a nice plate of warm food. He looks around but saw that no one was around, he noticed that there was a note on the plate and picks it up and starts reading it.

"Thought that you could be hungry after the whole way here, so when you wake up eat this."

Luca smiles a little bit at the short note and places it down somewhere and soon starts eating some of the food that Shadow had made, and in all honesty, it was really good. I actually loved it!

I hope Shadow can make these more often when I wake up again after a nice dream like that!
