Karma's POV

I quickly spat out the water and ran down the stairs just to see them. This was too much. For starters, they come back after all these years looking like rich slobs. Plus they seemed to be looking at Nagisa funny.

Not a check on my respect list.

"Karma dear!  It's been so long." She aimed for my cheeks but I slapped her hand away as she got close. "That isn't a good way to respect your mother n-"

"Wrong name it's caretaker." She gasped in surprise. I could feel Nagisa staring at me. My dad was silent but I could feel his anger. "I believe you forgot who your talking to Karma."

"Nah~ I know clear as day." Nagisa soon came in and stuttered us out of our bickering. "G-Guys please." Usually my father would push anyone back who interfered but he only took a deep breath and smiled. "I meant to ask. Who is this young fellow and why is he at our house?"

I felt something snap inside of me when he said 'our house'. "He can stay here since apparently I own this place, and you guys own a place somewhere in America!" My father glared down at me.

When I was 8 I would be petrified but since then nothing scares me more other than Nagisa dying. "Karma. I kn-"

"Let me guess. I know we left you for a while but we wanted to take a break from money and talk to our long and forgotten son' That May be spot on."

Veins were popping out of his head now. This was good. I wanted them out of here, never to come back. My mother soon pushed my father out the way and grabbed me by my shirt. She managed to lift me from the ground and snarl in my face.

"You unworthy son! We come back for you and this is the respect we get?!" She threw me to the ground, sending pain threw my body.

I turned my head to see Nagisa teary eyed. I didn't want to see him like this. His tears wasn't supposed to be shed on this.

     I can't do anything right.

    Can I?
