CHAPTER 2

"I'm really sorry, this won't happen again." the guy spoke, still panting

"Are you dumb? I just told I can fire you for being late!"

"You said you can, but you haven't fired me yet," the guy spoke, having caught on to his breathing, and not panting anymore

Both Taehyung and the guy were taken aback by the answer.

Taehyung sort of liked the confidence in his voice. But obviously, he made no sign of it outwards, as he continued scanning the guy with an unamused look.

The guy was amazed with his confidence, since he wasn't really the cocky or confident type. In fact, he was really shy. He could barely speak without stuttering. He was surprised how he didn't already collapse due to the way Taehyung was staring at him.

He remembered his best and only friend's advice before he came for the interview.

"Dude! Don't stutter in front of The Kim Taehyung! You'll get fired on your very first day."

"The who?"

"Kim Taehyung! Damn, you don't know him?!"

"Nope. I don't really follow newspapers and stuff, so I've no idea who's who."

"I can't with you...anyway, he's the Ceo of Kim Corporations, and he's known to be pretty stern. It's just been 6 months he started working, but he's already taken the company to the top."

"Yeah, okay."

"Be confident that day! Stern people admire confident people,"

"Aye aye captain Yugyeom!" He laughed

"Aish, Jungkookie!" he facepalmed

The guy, named Jungkook, was broken from his trance as he heard Taehyung clearing his throat.

"Listen up. You're here for the job of being my secretary, and honestly, I don't care enough about you to waste time in introducing ourselves. Anyway, you must be knowing me, so just get started with your work. Your cabin is beside mine, so whenever I call you, you'll need to be here. Is that clear?" Taehyung spoke blankly

"Y-Yes sir." Jungkook mentally slapped himself for stuttering 

"And yes, if you ever come late again, I'm gonna fire you." Taehyung spoke in a low, deadly voice, which sent shivers down Jungkook's spine

He nodded quietly and left his cabin, after bowing to him.

As soon as he entered his own cabin, he let out a breath he didn't realise he was holding.

Yugyeom wasn't kidding when he said Taehyung was stern.

He felt a knock on the door, and he immediately straightened himself up.

The figure entered, and Jungkook smiled. It was Yoongi.

"Oh! It's you! Hi! Please don't knock on my door before entering, just enter casually." he smiled

"Alright. Umm...how did the interview go...?"

Jungkook sighed.

"He didn't take any interview. He just told me to start working."

Yoongi smiled.

"That was pretty smooth...considering Taehyung generally fires people after a brief talk. Hundreds of secretaries came here for interviews, but Taehyung fired them all without any legit reason," Yoongi sighed
