Anne was walking through the halls of Liberty High.
Arriving at her locker she saw Clay Jensen standing at his own locker next to her.
"Hey Clay, how are you holding up?"
She said in a sweet tone.
"I'm doing quite okay, i guess."
She nodded in understanding.
"If you, uh, ever need help, just come to me. You know you can, right?"
He nodded smiling sadly at the girl.
Trying to cheer up the boy, she started speaking again.
"Do you remember when we first met, locker-neighbour?" she chuckled.
He chuckled too.
"Ofcourse i do. How could I forget my new locker-neighbour hitting me in the face with her locker."
Anne smiled succeeding in cheering her friend up.

She walked away and put on her headphones again.

"Welcome to your tape, Zach Dempsey."

Anne was listening to Zach's story.
She walked inside social studies.
Speak of the devil, there was the one and only Zach Dempsey.
She sat down across him.
"Hey, Dempsey."
He looked up and smiled sweetly at her.
"Well hello there, Anne of green gables."
Anne rolled her eyes while laughing.
"I can't help it that my parents love those books."
He shook his head while smiling.
"So what are you listening to?"
Anne's eyes turned big, worried she was caught.
"Oh nothing, just some music."
The boy was about to reply but got interrupted by mrs. Bradley starting her class.

Anne turned her attention towards the teacher, avoiding the boy across from her still staring at her.

When class ended and Anne started to walk away, but a tug on her arm stopped her.
Turning around she saw it was Zach.
"If you are listening to what I'm thinking, just please remember don't start thinking different about us. And please don't believe everything you hear."
Anne nodded.
"Look I might look different at some of you but i'm sure I can forgive you."
Zach let go of her arm.
He nodded at her with a small smile.
"Thanks, Anne."
She nodded and walked away quickly.

She went to the dark room to meet up with her friend.
"Honey, I'm home." she joked while entering.
Tyler chuckled and greeted Anne.
"Well hello there, honey."
He joked along.
Anne jumped up to sit on one of the tables.
"I was just listening to Zach's tape.
He really stole those positive notes of her because she didn't want to go on a date?"
Tyler simply shrugged his shoulders in response.
"Do you remember any of your notes, Anne?"
Anne thought for a while before replying.
"I remember getting one's from Hannah where she would say things like 'I love you, my queen' or Clay putting in some drawings with things like 'hey locker-neighbour'."
She chuckled remembering the notes.
"I also remember some notes from an unknown person saying stuff like I was the most beautiful person to walk the earth or that I deserved to be loved by the whole universe."

The girl smiled remembering how amazing those notes made her feel.
To this day she still kept those notes of her friends, and the unknown person.
"Did you ever get one?"

Tyler looked up at the girl with a sad smile.
"No, I only got those amazing drawings from you."
He hung up another picture on the line while speaking up again.
"But I didn't want any more than that."
They smiled at eachother, getting the feeling of being friends once again.

Anne procceeded to look at the pictures while Tyler was just gazing at the girl.

One thing the girl didn't know was that the unknown person who wrote her letters was him.
This was the only way he could confess what he really felt without her knowing.

And this was still the same feeling he had towards the girl, even after hearing her tape.
