Chapter 57

Rose's pov.

4 Years later...

I was putting on my shirt and skirt. I also wore a blazer on top. I have to look good today because our company gets a new CEO. And me as his assistant should make a good impression. I worked in this company called Jordan enterprises. It's pretty famous here in New York.

I'm still living there but I got my own apartment with my boyfriend Mathew. 4 Years of dating each other. This man is just making me feel so happy. But there was still a little part which was missing but I don't know what it is. But ya I'm happy. No drama. A happy life.

,,Baby you look hot." Matt said leaning at the door frame. I rolled my eyes. ,,Dude do you always have to sneak up at me like some stalker?" He just laughed and made his way to me. ,,Am I not allowed to admire my girlfriend's beauty?" He said kissing my lips. He started to deepen it. ,,As much as I'd like to make out with you know I have to go. I mean I have to give a good impression to the new boss."  He rolled his eyes resting his arms on my shoulder. ,,Ok but today evening I want you all for myself. No plans ok?" He said and I nodded pecking his lips. ,,Ok then I'll see you." I said taking my bag. ,,Should I drop you?" He asked. ,,Nah it's ok. I'll manage." I said. He was about to say no when I signed his to stop. ,,Ok baby. See you." He said and I waved at him.

I took a cab to the office because I missed my bus. A great way to start the day. Before I got out of the cab I checked if I looked good. Ok make up on point. Hair and outfit on point. Goals. I laughed at myself. ,,Have a good day mam." The driver said as I handed him the money. ,,Thanks same goes for you." I said getting out of the cab.

I entered the building. Welcomed by the cool air. Damn I loved to walk in here every Morning. ,,Morning Rose." The receptionist said. ,,Morning Kelly." I said waving at her. I walked up to her. ,,When is the new boss coming?" I asked as I gave her my check in card. ,,He should be there soon. Around twenty minutes I guess." I looked at my watch. It showed 8:10. So not that much time. ,,Ok that isn't enough them but I'll try to calm down." I said taking back my card. ,,Hey don't worry. I heard that he's pretty young. So I'm sure he'll understand you. More than that old sack." I rolled my eyes at her comment.

,,Mr. Jordan is a kind man. And I really hope that he'll be kind." I said looking at the watch. The time was passing fast. ,,I'm sure you'll manage it. Good luck." She said smiling at me. Her smile would always calm me down. ,,Thanks. I'll need it." I walked to the elevator. I went to the third floor. My cabin is directly next to the Boss's. So I do have to look at his face even if I didn't want to. That's why I really hope he isn't some ass. I sat down on my chair. Ten more minutes. Ugh I'm nervous.

,,May I come in?" I heard a knock at the door. ,,Yes." I said walking over to open the door. It was none other that Mr. Jordan. ,,Good morning dear." He said tapping my shoulder. ,,Good morning and come in sir." I said opening the door wider for him to come in. ,,Thank you." He said and took a seat. ,,Do you want something to drink?" I asked him opening the little fridge. ,,Water would be enough." He said and I nodded. I grabbed a bottle of water and poured him a glass. ,,Thank you dear." He said grabbing it from my hand. I sat down right across the table on my chair. I really liked Mr. Jordan. He's like a father to me. So caring and kind.

,,Are you ready to meet your new boss?" He asked. Nope. ,,If I have to be honest I'm not. I'm pretty nervous. I mean what if he's really strict?" I said nervously. I started tapping my leg. I did it whenever I was nervous. He just shook his head and laughed. ,, Haha thank you for being honest. And also he's a kind man. He might look intimidating. But he's a great young man. And ya I have to say he's not the most open type of guy. But he if it comes to business he knows what he wants. As long as you're kind to him he's kind to you." Ugh that didn't make it better. Now I was even more scared. He might look intimidating. Ugh exactly what I needed. ,,Ugh I hope I can be on his good book." I said getting myself a glass of water. ,,I'm sure you'll be. You're one of our best and hardworking employees. So don't worry." I sighed. ,,Thank you sir." I gulped down my glass of water.

,,Dear just remember one thing. Be yourself and Mr. James will like you." I nodded. Mr. James. The name sounds familiar. But it doesn't ring any bell. ,,I'll try sir." I said. He looked at his watch. ,,Ok dear it's time for me to go. I have to welcome your new boss." He said getting up from the chair. ,,Ok sir. I'll see you soon." I said also getting up. ,,Good luck. You'll rock it." He said laughing. I giggled. Oh man he's the best boss you could wish for. Also one good quality about him. He's damn funny. I'm gonna miss him. I have a feeling that the new boss is gonna be nothing like Mr. Jordan. I dunno. He looks intimidating. Mr James. Everything sounds so familiar. But who is this guy?
