Chapter 48

Stephen's pov.

It has been more than a day. They said no one was allowed to go in so she could rest. The doctor said the test reports should be there soon. I was impatiently waiting in front of her room. Through the whole night I couldn't sleep. One the guilt has killed me. Also I wanted to see her and make sure she's ok.

,,Are you Ms. Kingsley relative?" A older woman said standing in front of me. ,,Kinda I'm her Boyfriend." She looked down at her and then back to me. ,,I'm sorry but I need some family member." Ugh great. ,,They're on their way. Please tell me." I pleaded. ,,But there are certain rules sir." I rolled my eyes. ,,Doctor please it's important. Please tell me. If you want I can do it the harsh way and just go in." She gulped slightly.

,,So the reports say.. I know it's not so easy to take in. But she was definitely raped. But for her luck you came on time. It might have ended worse." I took a deep breath. I sat down on the chair putting my face in my palms. Fuck. It's all my fault isn't it? ,,Is she ok?" I asked. At least that would be ok. ,,I'm sorry to say but she has also been drugged and is in a weak condition." I hit my leg. What the fucking hell. Why did it have to be her. How am I gonna tell her that she has been raped. I already know that she's not gonna want any kind of closure with anyone. If Rose is really hurt she distances herself from everyone.

,,If you want you cant go and see her." The doctor said. I slowly got up. ,,Don't worry she'll be fine." The doctor said giving me and assuring smile and leaving. I took a deep breath and walked into the room. She was laying on the bed connected to a few wires. It's the worst condition I've seen her in. It was so painfull. She looked so peaceful. But also weak. I walked closer to the bed sitting in the chair.

I slowly took her hand kissing it. Tears steamed down my cheek. My poor baby. For a while I just sat there watching her and crying. She didn't even wake up. She looked like a dead body. Suddenly the heart rate machine started to beep. I jumped a little. ,,Rose." I shouted. Soon enough the doctors marched in.

,,Sir it would be the best of you get out for a second." One of the nurses said pushing me out. Oh god what had just happend. Is she ok. I was never so scared. The way her body jumped when the machine beeped. It almost gave me a heart attack. I couldn't take it. When I was about to go out and smoke a woman and a man ran towards me followed by a little child. It was Grace Rose's sister. And I guess these people were her parents. I could see it in her mother's face.

,,Where's my daughter?" Her mother shouted. ,,Stephen. Where is she?" Her sister asked. Then her father gave me the death glare. Damn I already knew that this man was gonna hate me. ,,She's in the room. The doctors are in right now." I said trying to be calm. ,,What happend to her? We jsut heard that she's in the hospital." Her mother said concerned.

That woman looked like she cried for hours. Her eyes were read as hell. ,,Mam. She has been raped by the same guy who tried to rape her back at your place." I said. The father seemed even angrier. ,,You bastard." He said grabbing my collar. ,,Honey let go of him." His mother said grabbing him away from.

I could understand him. If I were her father I would have reacted the same way. I mean who'd want to see their own blood suffering. The person who you watched growing up happily. The cute little girl which has been raped by some bastard. In the end it's actually all just my fault. If I just didn't drop her there and came to home with her.

We waited for a couple of hours. The doctor came and went. It was really scary. I mean who wouldn't be scared if the heart rate monitor starts to beep. ,,Hello. Are you Ms. Kingsleys parents?" The doctor asked. ,,Ya." Her dad replied. ,,Um ya it was just a little shock moment for her. That's why the monitor beeped and all. But there is nothing to worry." The doctor said. ,,Thank God." Her mom said relieved.

,,I just want you to sign this paper and then you can go and see her she's awake." Her parents took the papers and signed them. Soon the doctor left. All three of us where standing outside. ,,Boy. If you want you can go first." Her mother said with a slight smile. ,,No honey. I'm not gonna let that bastard near my daughter." I felt a little sad because her own father didn't like me. Just great. ,,No he didn't do anything. This young man here is the one who helped while she was here." Her mother said trying to defend my actions.

,,No mam. It is by fault. But you just go and see her. I'll wait here." I said. ,,You're not going to see my daughter." Her father said a bit louder. ,,Honey no. He's gonna see her. Stop being so rude to him." We then turned to me. ,,Are you sure we should go first.?" I could see the concern in her eyes. The same one I saw in Rose's. I gulped and took a deep breath. ,,It's ok mam. You go and see her. I mean after something like this I'm sure she needs her mother more than someone like me. After all I was the one who wasn't there to protect her." Her mom sighed. She came closer touching my cheek. ,,Thanks." She said and they walked into the room.
