Your POV
It has been a 6 months since I met Whitey and since then we'd been getting closer untill he finally made me his. Although Mr Hobbs still wasn't on board.
Whitey was trying his best to get on his good side but nothing was working and if I'm honest it was really starting to bug me.
I was with him currently tidying the room so I decided to try get it out of him
"I won't be here for dinner" I said putting some pans away
"Why where are you going?" He asked
"Whitey's" I said simply
"(y/n) we talked about this" he sighed
"Did we? Because that seemed like a one way conversation" i said
He gave me a look
"I don't get why you have a problem with him, all he's done is be a gentleman to me and you still hate him" I said crossing my arms
"I don't hate him" he said sitting down
"Well it seems like you do" I said
"I know he's a good man I'm just worried for you" he said
"There's no reason why you should be worried for me" I replied
"Look I don't want to argue" he said
Then Whitey came in to pick me up, I turned to him and smiled
"I'll be out in a minute"
"Ok love" he said and went back out
I turned back to Mr Hobbs
"Look I don't want to argue either but you can't keep doing this, I'm going to meet someone one day and I'd rather it be someone kind and loving and not nasty and controlling, all I ask is that you try get on with him" I said
He sat there thoughtfully then got up and hugged me
"Go see if he wants to stay for dinner"
I pulled away and smiled "thank you" I said and ran out
"Hey you" I smiled and hugged him
"You good?" He asked me
"Very" I smiled and kissed him after a while I pulled away
"Instead of going out do you want to stay here for dinner?"
He gave me a look "are you sure that's a good idea"
I smiled "yeah it was his idea anyways you're going to have to get on with him some how"
"If it makes you happy then fine" he said
I beamed at him "good now come on" I grabbed his hand and dragged him inside
We got inside and Mr Hobbs nodded to Whitey
"You eat meat?"
"Yes sir" Whitey replied
He nodded and began cooking
I sat down on the sofa and Whitey joined me
"Do you think it will work?" He asked me
"I hope so" I sighed
He intwined our finger together and smiled "so I was thinking the other day"
I looked at him in mock shock "sounds dangerous"
He laughed "I find that quite offensive"
"Yeah you'll get over it" I smiled
"Can I tell you my thought now? Or are you gonna make a comment again?" He asked with a grin
"Go on tell me your thought" I said
"Right well as I was saying, what if I quit my job so I could be here with you more often and work on the farms" he said
"What? No you can't! Sheriff loves you" I said
"Yeah I know but I hate being so far away from you" he complained
I smiled "I see you everyday anyway"
"Yeah but not all day" he said
"You just try too hard" I smiled
"Nothings too hard for me" he smirked
"Well love because unlike the rest of humanity I'm perfect" he joked
I laughed and he smiled at my laughter
"See? I want to make you laugh all day everyday" he said smiling
"And you will one day, but your not leaving your job for me ok? When there's enough money we'll be together all day everyday, just be patient" I said and kissed him before getting up to see how dinner was coming on
"Do you need help?" I asked Mr Hobbs well he was more like my dad but oh well
"No it's ok love" he replied sniffing
I paused "wait are you.. crying?"
"No it's just the food" he lied
"Sure, come with me" I said
"The food" he said
"It can wait" I replied and dragged him outside the door
"What's wrong?" I asked
"I feel awful (y/n), seeing you so happy with him just made me realise how selfish I have been" he said
"It's ok, you were just looking out for me" I said
"No it's not ok and I'm gonna make it up to the both of you, I overheard you two talking about being with eachother all day everyday and it got me thinking" he said
"About?" I asked
"I have a house in La Belle, I had it when me and your mother were close and when your father died, seeing your mother heartbroken killed me so I moved but kept the house, I was going to give it to Louise but you need it more, it's got 4 bedrooms so perfect for you and Whitey" he finished
I gasped "are you serious?"
"Yeah, I want you to have it and be happy with him" he said
I threw my arms around him "thank you so much"
He pulled away and smiled "just promise you'll still visit"
"I promise, you're pretty much my dad anyway" I said and we went back inside
I joined Whitey on the sofa again as Louise came in and froze when she saw him
"What's he doing here?" She asked
Mr Hobbs looked at her "he's staying for dinner now shut up and help me"
She rolled her eyes and went over.

After dinner I went outside to say goodbye to Whitey
"Before you go, he came round to you and gave us his house in La Belle, it has 4 bedrooms so it's perfect" I grinned
"Wait? So we can be together now?" He asked
I nodded "seems so"
He smiled and took my hand "I never got why you were a mystery"
"I was, you changed that" I replied
"Well I'm glad" he smiled and kissed me and from that day on he made me smile and laugh all day everyday, no need for me to be the mystery girl anymore, no need at all.
