Your POV
So we made it out the Scorch and was now with the Right Arm, although I was feeling like crap.
Yes I still had my boyfriend and closets friends by my side there was this one girl that was eyeing up Newt like he was some sort of god - which he was don't get me wrong but still.
Then she started talking to him and he seemed happy so I made the choice to separate myself from the the group knowing no one would most likely notice
After all I was the first girl into the glade Teresa being the second but Thomas had eyes for her
Me and Newt got closer and he eventually said he loved me and things went from there. Now we were joined with more girls the boys had more of a choice
My main scare wasn't WCKD or cranks. It was losing Newt to someone more beautiful and can make him smile more than I do.
After all I was just a girl with (y/h/c) that was ugly and dull (y/e/c) eyes. I was nothing compared to her, Sonya I think her name was.
I decided to take a walk up a hill and sat by a rock and watched the view wondering if my boyfriend had even noticed I had left his side...
Newt POV
"So you guys were in a maze? All boys but two girls?" Sonya asked me
I wasn't really interested in what she was saying, I noticed (y/n) make a quiet exit from the group but when I was about to ask where she was going Sonya quickly asked me yet another question
"Yeah" I replied looking at Thomas for help
He soon got the message and cleared his throat
"Newt where did (y/n) go?"
"Who's (y/n)?" Sonya asked
"My girlfriend and I don't know I think I might look for her" I said
"Do you have to? I was enjoying our conversation anyway she's probably fine" she said
"You don't know her well enough to make that judgement" I said getting up
"What does she look like?" She asked
"Don't just don't ask him that question, last time we were looking for her and he got asked that he rambled about how beautiful and amazing she is" Thomas said groaning
"I did not" I said looking away
"You so did" Thomas said grinning
"Ok well I'm going to go look for her now" I said quickly walking away before he could make any more comments
"Newt?" Teresa asked walking over
"Yeah?" I asked
"If your looking for (y/n) she went up there" she said pointing to the hill
"Thanks Teresa" I smiled and headed for the hill
When I got up there, I found her sat on the edge of the cliff watching the sun set, her hair was softly blowing in the wind
I went over and joined her
She looked over and smiled slightly before turning back to the sunset
"What brings you up here?" She asked
"Curious as to why you quietly left" I replied
"Just wanted to clear my head" she said
"And because Sonya practically stole me" I said knowing it was the real reason
"And maybe that" she said quietly
"You know your the only one for me" I said to her
"Newt you can't possibly say that when you've only ever met two girls since the whole WCKD thing" she said not taking her eyes off the sun
"And now I've met more and your still my favourite" I said looking at her
"I know I just- I'm just overthinking ignore me" she said picking up a stone and playing with it
I knew she felt lowly of herself and I just didn't understand why. Yes Sonya is pretty but (y/n) is beautiful and she didn't see it and it broke my heart everytime
"Look you mean everything to me, I smile just by looking at you, I would never throw what we have away for someone who asks 101 questions" I said looking at her
"I just don't want to lose you" she said
"You never will I promise you that" I replied
She looked at me and smiled
"I'm sorry I shouldn't have doubted you"
"You didn't, and if I'm honest I'd probably do the same thing" I said
"You did, in the glade" she said laughing
"Oh yeah! See we're even" I said smiling at her laughter
She dropped the stone she was playing with and grinned
"Think we should get back?"
"Yeah let's go" I said getting up and grabbed both her hands to pull her up
We made our way back down joking around and when Sonya spotted up she looked jealous and began to come over her eyes set on me so I kissed (y/n) in front of her to get across I wasn't interested
"What was that for?" She asked after I pulled away
"Because I love you" I said gently
"I love you too" she smiled and we went to our friends hand in hand.
