"Pleeeaaase," Newt begs and pulls at my arm in my hammock. I remain lying on my side with my eyes shut.

"I'm exhausted, don't make me get up," I whine. I hear him let out an exasperated sigh. A sudden silence creeps up and lingers for a few moments.

Then I'm pulled up out of my sleep.

"Woah! What the hell?" I shout and cling to Newt, who lifted me up out of my hammock. "What are you doing?"

"I can't sleep without you next to me," He says as if it were obvious.

"Why not?" I ask, wide awake now.

"I don't know. I don't like knowing you could get hurt so I don't like being separated from you and you're a relaxing person," He tells me and releases me in his own sleeping area.

"I'm not exactly 'relaxing' but thank you," I laugh a bit and lean back. He chuckles as he prys off his shoes.

"Maybe not to yourself, but to me." Newt drops his shoes and climbs beside me. As annoyed as I seemed, I'm glad he pulled me to his side.

"I guess..." I whisper, snuggling into his side. He wraps his arms around me to pull me closer.

"I miss the deadheads..." He says almost silently, not daring to let anyone else hear. I sigh but a smile hints at the end of it.

"I do too... maybe we can do it again-"

"Tomorrow," He interrupts almost too quickly. I can't help but let out a laugh. I quickly cover my mouth but I hear a few gladers shift their positions as they lie down. I bite my lip.

"Oops," I say, still giggling. Newt laughs at me.

"We should do it again tomorrow," He clarifies more slowly this time. I smirk and press a quick kiss to his collarbone.

"Tomorrow."
