Chapter 14. Saved

"And we're stuck inside the silence, in a cold, cold war"-"Papercut" by Zedd

                   Narrarator POV
     Malcolm, Carver, Kemp and Foster were hooking up the dam.
     Once they did, they came across a blockage.
     "We gotta clear this blockage." Malcolm said.

         *Meanwhile With Ellie and Alexander*
     Ellie and Alex were sitting up top, waiting for them to finish.
     "I didn't know you had a daughter."  Alex said.
     Ellie looked up at him.
     "Yeah." Ellie said and nodded.
     "What was her name?" He asked.
     "Sarah." Ellie responded.
     "I'm really sorry." Alex said, feelinh synpathetic.
     Ellie shed a tear at the thought of her daughter.
     "Well, now I have you and your dad, so..." Ellie said.
     "Yeah." Alex said.

        *Meanwhile With Malcolm*
     "Alright you got that straight?" Carver asked.
     Malcolm nodded and Carver began to pull them back.
     He then put his thumb on the button that will cause the dynamite to explode.
     "Brace yourselfs. Three, two, one." He said and then pushed the button.
     The place around them collapsed on top of them and the whole place vibrated.
     "Dad!"
     "Malcolm! Malcolm! Malcolm!"
     "Dad?"
     Alex and Ellie said, trying to call out to them.
     Some of the apes came to see what was going on.
     They then helped remove some of the rocks that were blocking the entrance.

     Once everyone got out, Ellie and Alex helped with some injuries.
     "Don't! Leave it there." Ellie said to Alex.
     "I got it. It's not broken." Alex said.
     "Let go. Good." Ellie said.
     Malcolm walked up to Caesar.
     "Thank you. You saved our lives." Malcolm said.
