Chapter 1. Present Day

"My old aches become new again"- "Where Did the Party Go?" By Fall Out Boy

                        Carla POV
     I was walking around my tree house, scanning the place to see what I needed to refill on.
     Let's see... Food, drinks, some new clothing... That seems to be about it.
     I wrote the list down on some paper and packed my stuff and started to head on out.
     I went down the stairs, opened the door, stepped outside and then closed it.
     I also took out my phone (Which suprisingly still has battery in it after all these yeats), and plugged my headphones in. I started humming along to Where Did the Party Go? By Fall Out Boy.

     I was barely even halfway on the trail.
     I decided to sit down on a rock and rest for a bit. I took out a water bottle from my bag and drank it. Once I was done, I put it back in my bag.
     About 5 minutes of resting, I continued to walk the trail.
   
     I was maybe an hour into the trail when I heard a gunshot.

     I froze.
