Malcolm along with the others were packing. They were disappointed with how the mission turned out. But they were mostly mad at Carver because he brought a gun when the apes told him not to.
"Man, we screwed now." Foster said, he threw a glove on the ground when he said that.
Malcolm debated a bit if he should go back or not.
'I should try again. This is our last chance after all. Just one more time. It's now or never.' Malcolm thought. He turned around and headed out of their camping site.
Ellie saw and began panicking and worrying a bit. She called out to him.
"Malcolm? Malcolm, where are you going? Malcolm." Ellie said.
She got up and followed him.
