"Your drink, couz."

Kusa siyang sumama.

"Chandria, he's here," bulong ni Sandy sa kanyang tabi. Pabalik-balik ang sulyap nito sa likuran nila. "Your Dan is here."

"Correction, Sands, it's just Daniel now." Mapait siyang ngumiti. "No more Dan, alright?"

Chandria meant it. Her systemㅡatleast her brainㅡgave up on him already. Daniel had hurt her enough that it scared her to give him another space in her heart. He had owned it once, yet, he only filled it with dead air and left her suffocated. That made her realize how toxic he was in her system.

Against this thought is her heart screaming in protest and opposition. When she remembers the kisses they shared, her heart crumples. When she hears his name being mentioned, it jumps everytime. She could not deny that she's still into him.

It was never easy to forget someone that fast when you had already dug the deepest to love him. It pained to be close and never had the chance to touch him. No doubt, she still mourned for his presence. She just hoped her heart will cooperate soon.

Her heart was soft for him. Her brain was hardened by pain. That's not a good thing. Now it's her against herself.

She got herself back to reality when someone tapped her tightly-clamped lap. It was Mitzie, trying to get her attention. Her friend was seated in front of her. She thought Mitzie was looking at her but her friend's gaze seemed to pass over her shoulders.

Chandria has to tilt her head a little sidewards so she can see who or what her friend was looking at. To her surprise, she met Daniel's intimidating stare. She was frozen to her seat. He took a glass of whiskey without leaving a sight of her. Chandria's stomach churned. She let out a soft gasp and led her gaze away from Daniel's dark black eyes.

"She's creeping me out, Chandria." komento ni Mitzie. Ibinaling nito ang tingin sa kanya. "He's been staring at you for too long now."

"That's a very..." Namuo ang bukol sa kanyang lalamunan. "Private thing to discuss."

"So, meron nga?"

Inirapan niya ang kaibigan. "I'm not saying that. Ang sabi ko langㅡ"

"Shut it, Chandria" natatawang sabat ni Kerr. Nakaakbay ito kay Sandy. "You don't have to deny the obvious. Besides, sex is normal. You can do it with anyone."

"Anong sabi mo, Kerr? You can do it with anyone?" Nakita niya ang pagsimangot ni Sandy. "So, you've been in bed with other girls, huh?"
