I walked inside and saw Stefan on the sofa, sleeping.
He looked cute.
I smiled and walked to him.
Suddenly he jerked up "Jacob!"
I jerked back and he sat up on the couch.
I asked worried "you okay?"
He nodded.
I smiled and sat down next to him on the sofa "Hey"
He gave me a quick smile. I could tell it was forced.
I asked confused " Who's Jacob?"
Stefan lied "Who?"
Me "Jacob. You were yelling his name in your sleep."
Stefan " Oh, um... must have been a bad dream."
He was lying, like he was lying last night.
Me "probably because you're sleeping on the couch, handsome. What are you even doing down here?"
Suddenly i heard behind me "That would be my fault!
I turned around and saw Valerie standing in the doorway behind us, her hair and skin wet from a shower and a towel wrapped around her body.
She had a black bottle in her hand.
I clenched my jaw.
Oh really!
Valerie " I--I just wanted to let you know I used the last of the shampoo."
I tried to fake smile but i couldn't do it "Valerie, I didn't know that you were staying here."
Stefan corrected me "Stayed. Past tense. Um, just one night."
Valerie "I should go put some clothes on."
I nodded" You do that."
